After lurking this forum for a good while I'm finally making an account. I may not actually own any DDs (recovering from major illness doesn't tend to allow such spending unfortunatey) but I definitely like admiring them. I do have a nice little collection of 1/6 Azone dolls (officials and customs) and it was them that got me interested in dolls. I kept telling myself that my dolly-interests would be limited to 1/6 scale only but I currently think I have my heart set on getting a Smartdoll as my first 1/3...and it honestly wouldn't surprise me if some dollfies ended up joining him. (after all, I was meant to only have one Azone and I have 8 now.)

Until then, I really look forward to looking at everyone's beautiful photos and learning more about these gorgeous dolls before I inevitably take the plunge.

I'm also hoping to make some friends/contacts (especially within Australia, and the closer to Sydney the better) because I don't really have any 'doll friends'...I'm mainly joining this forum to be able to talk about doll stuff with people who actually care. I'm also very interested in meetups.

Aside from dolls I'm also really into anime figures (I'm moeronpan on myfigurecollection) and anime in general (I have a wordpress blog also called Moeronpan where me and some friends review anime and the occassionl figure/doll) and drawing. My webcomic is called Southern Cross - its a comedy/drama about Australian history and I have three of its characters in 1/6 doll form. I also draw some fanart and stuff at my tumblr art blog torinoart.

Nice to finally be able to talk amongst people I've been quietly admiring from the shadows at last, and I apologize in advance f I ever say something completely stupid, I'm very new to DDs after all.

Nice to meet you!

I'm not from Sydney but we do share the timezone, so there's that at least! I hope we can be friends.

Interesting how Azone dolls got you into the hobby--for me obitsu brought me in, but Azone is keeping my interest right now, LOL. I take it that you are planning to get a Smartdoll boy? If you do, I'd love to see pics! I was considering him too but unfortunately he'd be way too tall for 50cms. I hope obitsu, parabox, azone or anyone makes a more manly looking guy as a companion to them eventually..

I love your art style! The pokemon poster that looks like a magazine cover is genius LOL. I just followed your art blog on tumblr.. I think? For some reason I can't seem to view it from the main url? xD;;

Either way, I hope to see you around sometime!

Haha, what's funny is that I previously thought '1/3 dolls are a bit too big for me, if I get into them I should start slow, like with one of the obitsu 48cms' and yet the one I get my heart set on is over 60cm...Oh well. Definitely smart doll boy, yes! I'm planning to get one for my birthday next November which hopefully gives me plenty of time to see photos and have lots of neat stuff already released for him (and hopefully also know what other male characters Danny plans to make in case I wanna wait for one of those instead!).

Thanks for looking at my art! I'm not sure what you mean by main url, but since I'm still a newbie I can't post links. Since you saw a Pokemon magazine print though it seems you're in the right place though.
