baldylox Posted October 17, 2011 Last weekend I got in the long awaited Denim Dress set from Volks that was released at Dolpa 25. I was waiting for this outfit for what seemed ages so when it finally arrived, I was super excited about it. All I could think of was how to take pics of it and where to do so. And I also knew that Manami had to be the one to model it first. So I took her over to my parents place to do some outdoor shots. It was EXTREMELY windy out there this day so I apologize up front for wonky hair in some of these. I was brushing her hair like every other picture! Anyways, she wanted to check out the flowers around my parents house first so here we go! She found some small roses first. Next to those were some smaller white ones. I love this picture because of the shine in her eye! So pretty! This HUGE grasshopper was nomming the back of this flower. And just below him was this anole lizard. See how big that thing is compared to Manami's hand? Anyways, she quickly found more pretty flowers.... For some reason ALL my girls like climbing trees! Manami is no exception.... After she got down out of the tree, she wanted to go see the pastures. So we headed out to see what was there. It seems she found some wild flowers among the tall grass! I so love this outfit on her! The wind was really kicking up out here and Manami loved how it felt blowing her hair around. Oh look, she found more flowers.... I won't tell her its actually ragweed. O_o She thought they were all very pretty. She found a bluebird house my Dad built and put up for the migrating bluebirds. It's been up there for a long time as you can see how weathered it is. Bluebirds nest here every year tho. And now it's time to rest a little. Manami is all rested up now and wants to get down from the fence. I offered to help her down but she said she can do it all by herself. I love this picture. It has such good color, an interesting pose and she just looks so gorgeous in this. As she was climbing down, I ran off and laid down out in the tall grass so she wouldn't see me easily. She knew what I was doing tho and giggled constantly as she called out to me... "PAAAAAAPAAAAAA!! Heehehheeheeee..." "I know you're out here!" She runs off in the opposite direction of where I'm laying down... She finally has enuff of my game and just flops onto the grass.... As Poofiemus said over on FFM, this is Manami's Dakimakura pose: "Come and sit with me Papa." We should get going now Manami, it may rain soon. "Come sit with me first! I'll give you hugs and kisses!" Sigh, how can I say no to that?" So that was her little adventure at my parents. I simply adore her in this outfit and I'm so glad I finally go it. Thank you Mitsuki! I always knew I wanted her to wear this whenever I got around to actually getting it. I agree the colors are nice on her too, I just wish it hadn't been so windy out there! She loves being outside so this was a blast for her. The weather was overcast but super windy. About an hour after I took these pics it started to rain and didn't stop for almost 2 days. All my girls seem to like climbing on stuff and Manami is one of the best ones. She's *always* climbing up onto things and into trees. I always fear for her safety but she seems to be oblivious to any of that. Billy I gave up counting the girls I own, they keep multiplying and won't stop. I really loved seeing her explore the field and looking at all the flowers. She really is the best when it comes to modeling. Also you will be happy to know one of my girls is wearing the denim jumper now. I did my own little twist on it and created a whole new outfit with the jumper. I figured I would try a little mixing and matching so that way Sara could wear that cute denim jumper. Ha ha! A contest huh? I'm quite sure that even if cookies were involved, only 4 or 5 of my girls would really care about it. Manami, Mamimi, Mai and Ryomou would be all for it since its a competition and involves food. Yoko may want to try since its a game of sorts but Im not too sure. As for the rest, I know Rei and Sango could care less. Elisabeth and Yukino are too "frail" to want to climb trees and Miyuki would rather just cheer everyone else on rather than get dirty herself.
