UPDATE: OH MY FREAKING GOD IT WORKED!!!!!!!! I'VE GOT IT AND I'M TRYING SO HARD TO JUST GO THROUGH PAYMENT WITHOUT RUNNING AROUND THE HOUSE SCREAMING I CAN'T BELIEVE I GOT THIS LUCKY!!!

A bunch of the currently sold out items have "To be Restocked" underneath their titles. Does this "restock" happen at random?

I was hoping the Kitty set would have shown up second-hand by now, but no such luck. Ho hum.

It means it may or may not get restocked, very soon or much much later. Yes, that's completely unhelpful, but that's reality (~_~"). Just keep checking.

 

At least it doesn't mean "Sold Out;" if they put that it means they're not going to get any more ever. Except when it doesn't, this one is sure to come back. It's been limping along for like two years now.

 

Actually when they really don't intend to sell any more they remove them from the shop pretty quickly.

 

 

 

I just noticed the hand internal frames are in stock, and the quantity limit has been raised to three. On the 10th you could only order one.

I ended up getting the Mikuzukin set, it was a long struggle as well XD as my computer is just old and didnt want to load anything and then when i refreshed it loaded the wrong page XD but I did get it.

Got the Mikuzukin! I'm so happy. I plan to get all the Miku-outfits for my Miku as I love the Project Diva and Project Mirai games

They finally charged my card today. I forgot how agonizing ordering from Volks can be. :C Why can't everything be a quick and easy as the Marketplace here?

Yes. But they usually arrive within 5 days with EMS. As long as I get it before Friday next week it's ok. ='3

Dude unexpected "Sorry we missed you" slip on my door when I got home from work. I was expecting a completely different package today, so I was pleasantly surprised to get that, even though I missed it!

 

(Though it's interesting that it took UPS the same amount of time to get me something from California that it did the postal service to get me something from Japan... I got their shipping notices within an hour of each other.)

Those are gorgeous! *0* Lucky! I still haven't seen my package yet. I requested for it to be redelivered today, and it seems that no one listened to me. I don't remember if I checked my mail yesterday or not, so it's possible that the mail person just hasn't been by yet, but I'm a little upset, tbh.

As of now both of my orders have come in the mail! I'm a bit busy lately otherwise I'd be having a full blown dress up day with my girls. I hope everyone else can get their packages from the mailmen soon.

Interesting thing I noticed about the new wrist joints:

- the ball joint is matte (like the sprayed it with MSC flat)

- the new rotating plastic piece has the VS logo stamped into it

 

 

I'm a bit disappointed with the Moonlit Night Black Cat set. One of the pieces of the fabric that the blouse is made of has a bit of discolouration on it and should never have made it into the production line. Luckily it's tucked into the skirt so no one will ever see it.

 

In order to make this outfit "one size fits everyone" the red ribbon at the back can function as corset lacing - except that it laces into tiny holes on a piece of lace so it's quite fragile.

 

The black furry collar ties on - which if any of you own the Warm Knit Cardigan set (http://myfigurecollection.net/item/171645) you'll know that in the past Volks used a hook a and loop.

 

The skirt isn't white-lined at all, unless they are counting the tulle petticoat to act as a buffer between the skirt and the doll?

 

All the things above are just little observations, but what REALLY annoys me is that the headband is sewn and packed flat (like all Volks headbands). Oh nooo. :C I hope the cuteness of it can win me over in the end. I don't know if I can put up with ears that wont stay up, though. @_@ That seems really obnoxious.

Haven't messed around with Mikuzukin Set yet, Got caught up with putting all of my girls in Halloween costumes. The cooking set is already in use though and the items are really nicely done, and Miku? Please don't kill anything.

So I got my dress today... I totally agree on the flat packing of the ears. I have no idea how they expected that one to turn out, but it wasn't good planning on Volks' part, I feel. One of the ears on mine sticks up properly while the other flops, so it's not a total loss at least.

 

After putting in on Annie, I don't feel like the outfit will stain her, unless I were to sit her down. This fabric looks like a stain monster, but it doesn't actually touch Annie's skin anywhere, the petticoat does act like a good buffer as long as she's standing, at least. The light contact with her hands in areas hasn't had any negative effects so far.

 

The corset lacing in the back didn't feel as fragile as I thought it would be based on what you said. I had no issues lacing it up in the back to fit Annie. Though the tiny ribbons? Ugh, I have tiny hands and it made my hands hurt! The end result is very cute, but the ribbon is ridiculously long. I cheated on the muffler and just took Annie's head off to put it on, after I realized it had one of those tiny ribbons again. Over all though, I'm very happy with my first Volks outfit that's not a fullset piece. The dern thing's cute as hell.

 

I also got the shoes they have the model wearing in the pictures, and they're also precious. They, too, look like stain monsters though. I have Annie wearing a pair of socks under them, so we'll see if they stain through, I wouldn't put them on bare feet though. Annie stands like a rock in them, too! Which is a plus. I can't get her to stand this well without shoes on!

 

I'll throw up a photo later, I want to get good lighting, this much black won't be easy to photograph.

That's what I did too!! As soon as I saw that there was no hook & loop I decided it was easier to pop the head off my dolly LOL

 

It's a cute outfit - the headband nuisance and the stain on the shirt are what annoyed me the most

Noticed the same thing tonight. Gave in to the compulsive shopping impulse and ordered one more thing.

The wrist joints have been restocked (again) on the International page too, with a limit of 3 per person.
