Debating trying to make Konno Yuuki....

OK. .. my husband has bought me Sinon from SAO because he loved her as much as I did, and as a thank you I wanted to make him his favorite girl from the show, Konno Yuuki. ... I can probably manage the sewing and armour side but I wanted opinions on sculpts and body types for her.

 

for references i suggest go ogling and using her wiki which I'm not allowed to post it seems.. thoughts and opinions welcomed

 

I'll be making Asuna too at some point but as a smart doll as he (my hubby) likes her face better than the DD version of her...

My very first thought for bait is Melty--she not only has the smile, but the ears! She's not exactly easy to come by even after the re-release though, so out of the standards I think 09 is probably the best choice.

I can probably do the ear mods with some epoxy mix so using such a sought after girl as melt wouldn't be needed ^^ I would feel awful wiping her default makeup after all.

 

I was weighing up using ddh08 for her as I like the smile but 9 would work well too...do they offer a slightly shorter body?

The DDS is a bit shorter than the DDIII. Though if you want a bigger height difference, making a hybrid with the Obitsu 50 is an option. (And actually, Obi50s rock for action poses. It's just buying clothes for them that aren't either school uniforms or lolita that kinda sucks. XD)

In fairness I'm gonna have to brush up on my sewing skills to custom make this getup, so a 50 cm may work well for her ^^ thank you for the advice :3
