I like her a lot, but my purchase will hinge on how she looks as a whole. I'm really not a fan of Mirai/Kizuna heads. Plus the default fashion is not to my tastes, so I hope she gets a lab coat or something like from her profile images.

Presumably her eyes too - but those are always one of the last things to be finalized, so it makes sense that she would currently have Kizuna's in. I kind of hope they end up a lighter blue (like sky blue).

I have Kizuna (and Mirai and Ebony ) and they are NOT her eyes they are a different blue and style ,

so they must be Chitoses eyes

Now looking at Kizuna and Chitose's faces side by side...you're absolutely right, and I have no idea why I thought they were Kizuna's. Kizuna's pupils are alot more round, and Chitose's look really different. I guess it was just the colour that made me think they were same (and Harmony having Ebony's default eyes for the time being)

 

Danny's being pretty mysterious with her - uploading a captionless photo with no announcement, not even a culture japan post on her yet when Ebony and Harmony had their posts up before they even had their eye holes cut out. I'm just so impatient to see more of her, especially her body if its different.

 

EDIT- Wasn't gonna post this at first since it's not really much of an update, but you do get to see the wig from a different angle.

That was exactly what I thought! And I didn't mean that there is no mouth at all, but maybe the shape is not final or a faceup on the mouth is not finished, so Danny doesn't want to show it yet to avoid bad comments.

 

I thought the same. So far she is looking very adorable.

The wigs looks small, MSD?? I hope its a new body, so there will be more alternative for vinyl msd size body than MDD/obitsu..

Either way I'm adoring her face and wig so far. I'm excited to her her final look! The hubs definitely needs her. She's already looking perfect imo.

I imagine his new 'Justice' bust size will be interchangeable with the other girls, so it's possible that Chitose might have shorter legs? (thats what I hope, anyway. Smart doll legs are so long they allow plenty of room for shortening without it looking weird anyway) It'll be weird for her to be the same height as the others.

yeah I believe that she will use the same internal frame and lower body , arms , legs ect just a new smaller chest piece and new head , looking forward to seeing more

Although I think it would be great if she was smaller like a DDS height.

 

Either way she is too cute. I will definitely pick her up on release lol.

Note that none of this is final, he says its the 'super prototype phase'. Everything from the faceup to the eye colour to the wig design may change in future.

edit- It kind of looks like she has the regular S bust on here, so maybe the smaller bust prototype isnt finished yet.

Hmmn chitose was shorther than mirai, I want a shorter body for her, she will be so cuter as a petite girl with thpse lab coat. About the body size for Chitose.... if I'm not crazy, I recall him saying that all he did to make Eiji taller than the girls was to add a Jeton joint or two to the spine of the Mirai frame. It would stand to reason that he could also remove one or two of those joints to make her shorter, right? He'd have to make up for that with the flat chest bust part being shorter to compensate so maybe this is why he's not showing that bust as an on hand/physical part yet.... he may be figuring out sizing for her to be shorter without having to redo the entire Mirai frame.

 

Of course this is just my speculation but I know how Danny is with new release stuff, he enjoys toying with people a bit and having fun with it. Either way I like where Chitose is heading and I hope she turns out having a vastly different look from his other girls..... otherwise Danny might get the reputation for a "one trick pony" when it comes to head design.

She's very cute overall in proto-phase, so can't wait for the final version.

 

About the body, designing, printing, and molding all the vinyl body parts to be shorter is the issue. She would look a little weird with a shorter torso but those extremely long legs. That does cost a good deal of money, and right now those funds are wrapped up in Eiji.

 

I hope a shorter body will be possible in the future, I like where smart doll is going, and hope there is more variety as Danny generates more funds.

She is soooo cute!! Every time he releases a new character I come up with 1274649829262 ideas for what to do with them. I'm excited to see how she develops!

I was thinking of taking her and turning her into my Nekopan Vanilla. I do like her face even though his mouths always seem so tiny....but i do like the more sad look on her. I guess i have a soft spot for them. If its a different body that would be fine. I know painting can help with changing the look some if i wanted a bigger looking mouth.

If she's this cute already, how cute is the finished version going to be? I'm scared.

Danny announced that he plans to release her on White Day (March 14th). A lot sooner than I expected.

The final prototype should be in the Mirai Store at the time I'm there so I'll get to see her in person I imagine! That'll be helpful in deciding if I need her or not...

Does anyone know if Danny will give us the option of ordering Chitose in Ebony color?

Danny confirmed to me there will be a tanned version of Chitose. I'm not sure if she'll have the same wig colour but hopefully.
