Update for everyone, Danny's Facebook has made the announcement of the official production for Chitose has started. Whoot!

Does anyone know if he is definitely releasing her on the 14th of March? I cannot wait!

 

Edit: I asked Danny on twitter and he said it's definitely March 14th, Japan time. He said he will release an official time soon. I'm too excited. lol. It's pretty cool how he responds to people like this via social media.

Chitose is very cute! Reminds me of Azusa from K-on! Danny is doing such an awesome

seams to be the case , maybe the cord jeans cost more to make? or trying to cover the cost of the new head?

That would only make sense if Eiji cost more, since he's an entirely separate sculpt to Mirai and co, whereas Chitose still has the same body. But Eiji's 60000 just like the rest.

I'm actually kinda baffled by this. I mean her clothes are slightly nicer so it could just be that, seeing as her essential edition costs the same as the others will.

 

edit- I do like that he changed her attire from the others slightly, though. I feel like it looks slightly dressier, which suits her more than the casual look of the others. I mean, it's still casual, but the frills add a layer of class.

here is the answer! its a mix of the trousers and the production costs. (i guess the S bust is with her also so its head, faceup, Wig, eyes, clothing, bust, ect....)

Well i hope they well sell the jeans normally since they are more universal for outfits. i will be going for Essentials on the Eiji so not to worried about ti my self.

I sew myself but draw the line at sewing jeans. Danny Choo's pants are amazingly detailed and fit like a glove. They are extremely labor-intensive- has to be done by hand, lots of tiny, awkward details. I don't mind paying that much for something that I know takes a very long time to make each pair.I like the corduroy pants but think of them more as fall/winter clothing, not spring/summer.

Eiji has the same frame as the girls but everything else is completely new, the clothes body sculpted, "bust", hair, etc. and yet he is 60k. Chitose has a new face, redesigned picture on frill shirt and corduroy pants and she ends up costing more than Eiji? I love Danny Choo's stuff very much but that doesn't make sense to me. Heck, I'll still buy it lol, just not sure why the increase is on her and not Eiji.

I have been pondering this during my inability to sleep and i came up with one idea.

 

Maybe the fan feedback is lower the Eiji's was. so there for he expects lower sale prices on her so the sales are expected to come in lower then average meaning her will loose them money. so adding a bit onto her price will then make her legible to sell with out a loss..

 

that is fully me guessing. i wont message and ask (since you can see the first reply i got made me feel like he was angry i asked that question. i just shrugged it off that ether he read and replayed super quick so the anger or annoyance was fully there Or he was just having a bad day so blew off some stream at me or something like that.)

It may be something as simple as the international economic situation. Could be that since he started working on Chitose, costs have gone up for labor, materials, etc., and could have something to do with the exchange rate. The factory where the molds are made, the dolls are poured, etc. could have raised their rates, and so forth.

I remember Danny saying that he wants to keep Eiji costing not more than the girls. I believe he knows how wanted Eiji is by collectors so he tries to make him available at lower cost. And therefore Chitose may take over some of Eiji's production costs, and not only hers.

I just saw Danny Choo's pics of the new Chitose Shirasawa. She looks so cute!

If I would get a Smart Doll, it would be between Mirai or Chitose. However, for now Dollfie Dreams are on a higher priority for me.

not sure why everyone is complaining about her price , the 2k rise is only $20 or $30 that less than 5%

 

I for one will be adding her to the ever increasing family lol

 

PS: what pisses me off is the exchange rate for Aussie $ when I got Mirai and Kizuna ect they cost around $600 au each , Chitose will cost $750ish because the Aussie $ now sucks big time

Yeah that is correct ,

because I have Mirai , Kizuna and Ebony , I got the early link in a email , BUT she is now in the web store for anyone to buy

Oh gosh I'm seeing Chitose posts from people in Japan and I'm so mad I'm not able to order her right now! I don't have the space and I'm struggling just to save for Ebony lol. But someday! She's so precious I just can't even deal.

 

I'm confused on one thing, though. She and Eiji both have Essential versions but the other girls dont. He said they would be available some time ago but they never showed up. Did I miss something?
