How Often is Miku Released?

I just got into the hobby and fell in love the Dollfie Dream Miku. How often does Volks release her? I just saw that they had preorders for her in September but I missed that.

I just want to know if she's released quite a lot and I should wait, or if I should buy one off Ebay that's a bit pricier.

Miku is a limited doll who was released as a pre-order project a few years ago. (I want to say around 2012 or so but don't quote me) and the only releases since then have been volks getting rid of leftover stock from that initial project. They had excess from people who canceled or otherwise flaked out after the doll intended for them had already been made. The only releases I know of since then have been a lottery for the most recent magical Mirai event (likely what you are referring to) and volks' Anime Expo 2015 event since they had a booth there. (Which is where I got my Miku actually)

 

That being said I don't know when there will be another purge of their excess stock or if it will happen any time soon. It isn't exactly a regular thing.

 

If you want to buy aftermarket eBay is a bad place to start for any collectibles. She's very overpriced even for aftermarket on there. If you make 20 posts here you'll have access to the marketplace here. I believe I saw a Miku full set around there for a good price. There's other topics here that discuss good places to go to buy a dollfie dream at non rip off prices as well.

I know! She's so cute! I fell in love with her not just because she was Miku but also because she's just so beautiful.
