What is this?

I found this doll modeling the wig on taobao, and I simply fell in love with both the face-up and doll.

Would anybody happen to know where to get this doll, or what type/name it is?

Hmmm I wish I were better at identifying BJDs, but he looks like a Volks or Crobidoll imo Almost like a School Head A but with more closed eyes?

 

Or an SD17 Pearl? (Scratch that, his lips are in more of a smirk)

Where could I find this doll for purchase and the face-up artist?

POPPY can be found on DoA as a commission-able artist. She's....hard to work with due to language issue and not at all cheap, but works well. She doesn't do the same face-up twice though so you may have to change it in some places or I'd recommend hunting another artist. There are A LOT of amazing people, but rarely do people copy face-ups.

 

The head is fairly easy to pick up on the other hand. Probably can find it for $150~$250 on DoA. Just put up a WTB for the "Volks SwD (Sweet Dream abbreviated) School A head." Sometimes Volks does a online sale for them, but usually they are more regularly available inside the stores. A lot of people have them though and are willing to sell. ^^ Sometimes they pop up on eBay.

 

As a word of warning: Unlike other Volks SD-line heads they will never have any sort of plate or paperwork. The most they can come with is the box they came in. Figured I'd put that in there because I've known people who freaked out when they received the head without a plate not knowing the Schools (There is a variety of them) don't come with plates.
