Rescue cream no longer removes stains

Like the title says, the stuff basically doesn't work at all anymore. Is there any possible reason for this?

Have you had it for a long time? Maybe it's expired? Although, I'm not even sure if the cream can expire.

Only a few months and this is the third time I've tried using it. Last time I had similar problems but blew it off as a fluke. The first time it worked perfectly. I have an unopened tub that I may try in a couple days or so.

I have no experience with the Volks product. I do have years (and tubs) of experience with Twin Pines Remove-Zit. Remove-Zit has an effective shelf life of about 12 months. After that it still works but at a much slower rate. If the Volks product uses similar active ingredient (peroxide) it may also lose its potency with age. Remove-Zit is mixed when you order it and has a "use by" date on it. If the Volks product is not dated you may not have any idea how old it actually is and its potency may be reduced.

There was a thing on it saying it's only good for X number of days after opening, I can't remember where exactly :/ You have to make sure you keep it sealed when not in use… I always keep it in the ziploc bag it came with.

I've only had it since July and I do keep it well sealed.

That's annoying. Unfortunately it happens with stuff like this, I've spent $30 on putty that only lasted a month (~_~#) That stuff usually lasts a year.

Ouch. That sucks. I have another unopened tub so hopefully that will work. Miku got a red mark on her back from her Halloween costume and I'd like that removed...

FWIW, the cream I bought last November is no longer working either. I lightly stained both of Miku's legs & feet, and thought a couple days tops I'd get them clean. Each time it seemed like one more application would fix it, but it's dragged on for two weeks as the cream's gotten weaker each time

 

I ordered some new stuff from Volks JP but they seem to be very busy sending out the Macross girls. The cream's almost finished anyway, I'll just bust out the heat lamp & zit cream and get it over with (－_－＃)

As a Miku owner I know the feeling. She gets random small stains on her for whatever reason. It's one of the reasons she's the resident trouble maker as she seems to love mysteriously getting dirty. My Sasara has a couple small dots (Which I also don't know the origin of :/) and Celia's body came in with some kind of fine black dust on some parts and she needed a magic eraser bath right off the bat because of it. Of course that crap left some small dots on her chest. She also got orange color on her knuckles for whatever reason. (The resident joke is she got mad and punched an orange )

This is so annoying. I just got in my order from Volks USA and my Dream Rescue states it was packed in May...

Just took off an application of my batch that expired mid-September. Barely limped through removal and at least the ones remaining are the darker stains. I'm just going to have to buy another batch it seems…

Looks like I'm not the only one with problems with this stuff. I have an unopened tub I bought at the same time as the one that currently died. I'll see how it works.

FWIW the stuff I just received from Volks JP is dated 3.3.2015. I haven't tried it yet.
