Enterprise I've been wanting to dress Amora as a Starfleet Officer (Ensign, because of her age) since long before we got her. I have to thank Sydia Yuki for her hard work in designing this outfit for me. Amora looks way better then I had hoped and my wife and I couldn't be happier. We took her to "Stan Lee's Comikaze 2015" and so many people fell in love with her. I'm actually surprised that I haven't seen anyone else try this with their dollfies. Billy Thank you very much, that means alot. I'm still brand new to the hobby, but I told my wife I "HAD" to do this right away . I myself love the wig and color as well, but I originally wanted to make her hair shorter or in a ponytail (to adhere to Starfleet dress code regulations... hehe), but I wasn't sure how to do it, nor could I find one I liked before the convention..... so any advice for the future would be helpful. If I take her to a Star Trek con, people will bring that up to me.... lol As for the eyes... your right, they do work well with everything and I just love them. Sydia Yuki did a fantastic job. It was a custom order that took her months of research, but she's more qualified to describe the design details then I ever could. But the end result is Awesome. Just holding the uniform in you hands and holding Amora while she's wearing it, it's so much better to see in person then the pics. If one day we were to meet, I'd gladly show her to you in person. If Sydia can do this, then imagine what else she can make??? Again, thank you so much. All this positive feedback is encouraging me to try other cosplays for her in the future.... Wait and see..... I'm glad and proud this commission has met so much appreciation both here and on Facebook, it has been an unexpected surprise i admit , for me About the tecnical stuff the outfit is a full bodysuit-like garment made with stretch fabric in red and black (in this case a couple of lycra/ lycra-like fabrics) with a zip on the back and handsewn red collar border. Being stretchy it would have been pretty annoying/difficult to be lined in white , let alone the possible bulkiness on some points (and the line itself would have to be another stretchy fabric) and it's meant and designed to be worn with a protective bodysuit under it to prevent staining from the threads. The badges and rank pin have been bought by Sticks-Ara , dunno where It has been studied (sketching, making the pattern, trying ot the mockup on doll to make eventual adjustaments on the pattern and then cutted and sewn together) and adjusted to be based on the second outfit version in "Star Trek: The Next Generation" (i've uploaded some work in progress shots on my facebook page https://www.facebook.com/sydiaatelier/ ) , it took a bit more time of study and design respect common outfits .
