Aymea head is complete :)

I want to share with you that my girl head is complete. I named her Aymea. I decided to give her spiky short pink hair. I love long hair but I can handle long hair wigs not even to save my own life. So I decided to go with a short hair. She looks the way I imagine her but I'm not sure if I will keep this hair on her or I will get something a little bit more medium size and darker pink. All she needs is a DDdy body. But if God permits that will be until next year

I haven't seen many Dollfie Dreams with this short type of hair, she looks interesting. I like that earring of hers =3 Where does her name come from btw? ö3ö

 

 

 

Wow, she is beautiful! The ear-rings make a huge difference, they give her a wonderfully mature, grown up look. I love the spiky hair, you really don't see that too often so it stands out a lot. It kind of gives her a bit of a pixie look. Also, you don't see nearly enough white-haired dds. It is a somewhat different style of faceup than you typically see on DDs here, but it really works for her. Thank you for posting her, I know that it takes a lot of courage for you, but I am really glad to see her.

 

Don't let the stupid troll, who apparently doesn't realize that the whole internet is not 4Chan, get you down. She truly is lovely, maybe even more so than the original Panchita, and I thought that she was gorgeous. I can't wait to see her finished with a body.

When I first saw Aymea and you said you might want a little longer hair for her, it immediately made me think of Bree's new wig I made for her from yarn. I haven't done photo of it yet but they seems to have a similar pink (Ignore Raven thinking it's white, he's colorblind and often sees pastels are either white or gray.) Pics of Bree should (hopefully) be up by Monday. Bree's wig is fluffy, soft, and SO fun to play with, I think it's a style that would work great for Aymea.

thank you so much. I love long hair wigs but they don't love me back LOL. I have such a hard time trying to handle those wigs and keep them neat. So this time I wanted to try something different. Whe I was a child I used to watch an anime call Zodiac Knights (Saint Saiya) and I always love how spiky the hair from each character was. It was so full of life so I wanted to try something similar. I really like how the hair looks on her

 

The name was just something I made up. I usually always used Panchita for most of the DD I have LOL this time I wanted something that sound sexy but different. I'm currently obsessed with an actress from the 20's call Mae West. So the second part of the name comes from there. The first part comes from an expression a lot of us Mexicans use. AY! When we are in pain or want to exaggerate something so I just added on the front of the name LOL I wanted something fun and kind of an inside joke

 

When I first saw Aymea and you said you might want a little longer hair for her, it immediately made me think of Bree's new wig I made for her from yarn. Raven is not so wrong. Aymea natural hair color is dark pink like her eyebrows, but she bleach her hair to make it more of a white/light pink. Well that's part of her story. I haven't work out 100% her personality yet. She is kind of loosely based on baldy Manami

She is actually a whole new girl. Panchita is an Azone girl now. She and my other Azone Arale are getting face ups. I wanted something different this time. I wanted a whole new character, but with some of the personality of Billy Manami. I just love that girl so much. She is the first DD I ever saw

 

I was tempted to make her a DDH01 head too, but I always like how the DDH02 head looks so adorable with the sad eyebrows. So I end up getting a DDH02

I feel bad that I'm so horrabily late with my Halloween photo story due to getting sick/injured but I'm looking forward to doing a photo story with all of our 14 completed DD (hopefully #16 will be finished before Christmas and #15 won't pop up until Thanksgiving even though all she just needs shoes.) At least I had the extra time to work on Yukinohana's dress. I am SO in love with it! I still can't believe how many costumes I've done the last two months. I think only 5 are reusing their costumes... I think this is the first time in a long time I've surprised myself. I couldn't have done it without my older sister who did so many of the props that will be in the set.

Beware of Manami! (Sorry Baldy... ) That's where Dakota originated from as well and now she has a sister who will eventually have a husband and a daughter... If you are curious as to what she will look like, just think of a blonde Dakota with long curly hair.

OMG, I can't quit laughing. I never knew Lorelai could get so fired up. "Pink hair? Pink hair?? what's wrong with alternative pink hair?? I'll show them! I'll have pink hair too! Nobody can put down my DDH02 sister! Hey you!" *points to me* "Make me some hair... and clothes too! I'm not gonna tolerate this injustice!"

 

I've never heard her speak before, let alone order me around to do stuff. Apparently she's keeping the pink hair too (it was originally going to be B&W.) I need to make more wefts before it's actually complete, but these were the leftovers from Bree's wig. This is the longest the fibers I can get but they can also be shorter. I can say I'm a bit surprised that she looks more punk than goth in these pics. I keep shaking my head because this is the first time I've actually put Lorelai and Hana together. The 02 and 03 were the only default girls for so long on Volks that I normally connect them together like pretty close friends. I hadn't eve thought of how that dynamic would affect my girls. Apparently Lorelai has decided that they are friends and that's that. Lorelai's personality has taken a curve I hadn't expected but fits with the personality of the character I bought the 02 for before she took it.

Omg Sister Kyoya that's hilarious. C: You need to make a post soon with at least a picture of your family! I'd love to see how it's grown, since I completely forgot you had Lorelai! I loved her faceup so much, too, when you showed her to us.

 

I agree with you about long hair MrFjmg03! It's beautiful, but a pain to keep up for sure. I need to get some things to get my girls' wigs back in top shape, they all have really long hair!

 

Also side note, but I didn't know you were Mexican, that's awesome! My husband is as well. We lived in Guanajuato until we moved here to Ohio. I think liking long hair may be cultural? My husband loves it.

I love Lorelai so much. She looks so amazing with that hair. The pose from the second picture and the way you style the hair remind me so much of Bulma from dragons Ball. I don't remember in what season but there was a time she used to have a hair style similar to that. It looks so 80's I LOVE IT!!!!

 

Yukinohana is so cute. I agree with you. Every time I see a 02 and 03 head together I assume they are sisters. I got so used to see them a lot of times as sisters. I think it is because they look more similar

I know I love it too. I think it might be a cut ulnar thing most of the people I know from my own family and friends we tend to like long hair the most. But my mom loves short hair and she is Mexican too. So may be is just different tastes LOL

 

The thing that bother me the most of long hair wigs is not that it tangles so easily but that it get stuck in the joints. That was my main problem with it

LOL! Thank you! Sometimes I wonder what in the world is wrong with these kids of mine. I just shake my head because they will be who they are... As for the family pic, that will be satisfied in spades by early next week. I have a very belated Halloween photo story I'm working on (you can see some of the set in the background) that already has 18 photos to it and I'm not even half done. My longest photo story was about 40 pics, but I'm pretty sure this one is going to put that one to shame. Everyone who is finished (except Gizella) will be in it plus a few of our other dolls. So it might be about 20 dolls altogether I think. If that wouldn't be enough to satisfy you, my sis and I were going to do a short photo set for Thanksgiving (a few days late...) with the intent to get an entire family pic including Gizella, but another DD should be finished by Christmas, Eiji is released in Jan last I heard, then Lorelai and Darla will have their final bodies in June along with another surprise DD after the faceup and wig get done... So we may not actually have a complete family pic until next Nov. if Rin & Len are the preorders for Jan. Man... my head is spinning...

 

Pics are going to be so much easier now because of where these two girls are standing. It is literally a stage in our living room that's 3 feet deep, 8 feet long, and 6 feet tall (from the floor), just for the DD. My sis and I get together once a week to collaborate on DD projects (Her DD will be introduced in the Thanksgiving photo story!) as we slowly build a DD world in our house. I hope to make more of these spaces eventually of varying sizes. Making more stages is something I so badly want to do so I can make them a backyard to play in, Tama's kitchen that's scaled to him instead of the DD, Lucas' apartment, etc. I really can't express how excited I am about having this huge 'room' for them. We can finally do a proper Christmas story this year!

I'm glad you found it so funny, it makes me really happy. I'm still stunned that Lorelai... well frankly that she has clothes, a wig started and is on a body (Sorry Miku!) This is the first time I've seen her nearly complete but it's so disorienting because I wasn't expecting it. I had been trying to get Hana's dress done when Lorelai decided to finish herself. I'd say it was unexpected of her, but she was never intended to even be. She stole someone else's head and told me it was the punishment for having so many floating heads. (I now badly want a Smart Doll Mirai for the character the 02 was originally supposed to be.) Lorelai's eyes even look kinda weird because since they were colored with watercolor pencils when she lost patience for me to get around to giving her eyes. (How she managed that as just a floating head... I dunno.) So she pretty much invented herself from the beginning. What she will decide to do with her story from here on out will be interesting for sure because I have no idea.

The more I see Lorelai in that pink hair the more to color contrast just looks amazing. As for the 80s... Dakota's sister long ago made it clear that 80s was her style. The wardrobe that she already wants would be enough to fill a department store... Long live the 80s!

Thank you. I can't wait to get more of her clothes done (even the dress she's wearing isn't finished yet) but they are pretty much difficult or complicated to make. She just might wear this one for a while (it's her Halloween costume) until I have time to work on the really fancy ones! Yukinohana is the Japanese word for the snowdrop flower. We normally call her Hana or Hanna and I call her Yukino sometimes too, she's fine with any of them. (Just letting you know that you don't have to type out her whole name. XD) I love calling her Hana because it means flower and it just suits her so well.

Dakota's sister's inspiration came from another source, but without Dakota I would be at a loss on how to make her speech patterns correct. I've done quite a large amount of research just to get both of their speech patterns figured out. It's really kinda embarrassing admitting that. I feel bad that Dakota has been so few and far between as far as pics and photo stories go, she's definitely someone who has to have someone else to play off of, otherwise she just keeps to herself. That's why I'm thrilled her sister is almost finished, because no one riles up Dakota like she does. (Although she's had at least one 'confrontation' with Madison and oh boy... he's not on her good list.) Once a couple of years ago I was pretty sick but was determined to keep working Yuriko told Dakota, and she threatened to tie me to the bed if I didn't stay there willingly. I knew she would do it too. You just don't cross Dakota.

 

Amongst the many things that Yuriko thinks of Manami, she very much has tried to emulate her. Of course I think he attention span is too short to be a true Manami 'clone', she definitely eats sweets like Manami. I'm still not sure if she thinks Manami's 'boob powers' all come from the amounts of cookies she eats. So far the formula hasn't worked, but she still eats cookies hand over fist just incase.
