Oh my god this makes me happy! I'm sure if I somehow got doubles of either one they'd sell fast so I'm not too worried about that.

I'm really liking Takane's sculpt it reminds me of Sheryl's in how mature it is and the new Rin is also cute. She looks better than the original IMO. Much more livelier.

Takane is one of my favorite im@s idols and she looks beautiful! Maybe a personal nitpick would be that I wish her eyes were a biiiit more slanted and that her irises were a touch smaller to match her anime artwork but in her current form she does look a lot like how she does in-game.

 

I hope that Hibiki would be possible in the future... but my wallet doesn't share the notion lol

The more I look at Rin, the more I love her!

I'm conflicted about the Volks US lottery. On the one hand, it's a second chance (actually the first chance, because I expect the JP lottery will be in January). But the downsides are that I'd have to wait until March to get her if I win, and with the current Canadian exchange rate it might actually be cheaper to get her on the aftermarket (･･')

 

The exchange rate is totally killer for us right now

 

I'll be waiting for the international lottery for sure, I don't have to patience to wait till March lol

Looking at her profile art (Haven't seen the original Idolm@ster anime, so far I've only seen the Cinderella Girls but I'll probably watch the original next. And I haven't played any of the games. :L ), I agree that her irises should've been a little smaller.

 

And that is still a possibility if the copyright holder tells and pays them to make it, and Hibiki is pretty cute but tbh the ones I most hope we'll see are Kirari and Anzu. That'd make me happy-happy! Although my shelf space wouldn't be... It'd be even more awesome if Kirari had the ":3" face, as I remember her having that face quite a bit in the anime. And Anzu would be a MDD S bust while Kirari is DDdy or DD L bust maybe? I could see her fitting one of the two, although if they were to announce that I'd hope more on them using the former body rather than the latter.

Takane looks SO good though. I love mature DDs so much.

Can someone explain in detail how the whole lottery entry process works? I'm a total noob to this part of the hobby and I can say I'm significantly nervous about it and somehow screwing it up. Help!

Lotteries are just like buying stuff - you log into the site, click on what you want, fill out the address forms and then wait the few agonizing weeks to hear back if you've won (the chance for them to take all your money of course!).

Thank you Chise & TheWhiteRabbit. I knew there was a forum post about it but I just couldn't remember where it was. I'll be setting my calendar on my computer to remind me, but I hope after that I'll be too busy to remember or dwell on it much. We'll see if that actually happens. I need that sculpt so badly it nearly hurts. If I don't end up getting her, I think most of you would be shocked how much I'd pay for that head. I have never envied the people who have done previous lotteries and I thought it was something I'd never suffer through. For Rin's sculpt though I can make most amounts of suffering tolerable.

Really nice to see Rin having a second release! The new UBW anime was totally awesome, and I'm glad to see Volks coming back to Fate a little. :'D I already have her first version, so I probably wouldn't need another, right~? xD

 

Also don't know much about Idolmaster or Takane Shijou, but when I see the resemblance I can't help but want to customize her as Caren Ortensia from Fate/Hollow Ataraxia. The Fate obsession is too real. (= w =) Anyways, looking forward to the lottery opening, after a good Thanksgiving~ Best of luck everyone. :3

No, volks us never release any idolm@ster dolls when they were doing lottery. Something about licensing issues.

Glad I can get mine from Japan because I am not paying the $169 markup VolksUSA added. 59,000yen is just $480 USD, even with EMS (around $20-40) it is a huge savings. Volks would of been smarter to price her at $550.

I wonder what the chances of winning are though? Like how many does Volks actually produce for sale because I'm really interested in Takane and I think everyone needs a Rin in their life myself included.

If the chances of winning rin are better in the USA I'll gladly take the price hit. I neeeeed her. Also with Takane being international only it looks like getting her might be rough...
