Agreed to both. I'm thinking of entering both international and US lotteries for Rin because it's not like selling a(n unlikely) 2nd one would be difficult given her popularity. I do wish the lotteries were staggered slightly further apart though, just so we could know if we actually need to enter the 2nd lotto. Oh well! *_*

I'd certainly rather take advantage of the USD/JPY exchange rate, but taking a hit on the markup would still be way cheaper than buying her second hand.

Definitely. My parents are on the fence about me double entering but I explained to them it would be very easy to sell an extra. They're somewhat convinced. I make my money by basically being the housemaid as it stands now so finances do still go through them in a lot of ways. I also told them I'd be selling off most of Takane's stuff. I really just need that head. I'm iffy on the eyes. I feel like they'd be place-holders until I find something closer to what I had in mind.

 

My odds of getting Takane are much lower and if I had to choose, I'd choose her because OC's come first to me I guess.

I love my Bree and fell in love with her the moment I saw her. She's such a goofball. Is it just me or does the 08 look like a slightly older version of her with a more closed mouth?

 

Somewhere in the back of my brain I still occasionally think about how to make a Haruka boy. Given enough time and finances, I'd probably attempt to make all the DD sculpts into boys.

I've finally decided to go ahead and try for Rin thru both lotteries in hopes that I can get one. And as someone else said, if the stars align and I wind up with two of them, it should be easy enuff to sell one on, given how popular she is.

 

Saying that, I do hope I win the International lottery since that will be significantly cheaper than the US one. But I'll take what I can get!

I like Haruka actually, but admittedly her in default with that face is a bit ruined for me as a derpy looking MMD model of her came out and got used in videos where she would appear in random places like in closets and drawers, and would pop out of there chasing the other characters by flying in the air and twisting and contorting in all kinds of bizarre ways. Now whenever I see that face that's what I think of and it's pretty hilarious.

 

Also Baldylox if you win both and I strike out sign me up!

Well since many of us are entering both lotteries, I hope it ends up that all of us are able to get Rin one way or another. I'm definitely going to be entering both lotteries

God, I'm so tempted to go for Rin. She's one of my favorite characters from my favorite series. And she comes with the Azoth dagger and the Command Spells and the physical embodiment of my OTP pendant... She's kind of pricey, though, and I'm not really fond of her face. Plus, the DD body means that she'd technically be out of scale with my (Azone) Saber.

You mean from Japan to Canada? It's much cheaper & faster to ship from Japan than it is from the US Import fees are only Canadian sales tax, if customs feels like dinging you. That's 13%.

Customs hit hard in my country too :S 24% and I always pay VAT when I order from volks.

Federal importing fee(FIF)=60%

State importing fee=18% of (price + FIF)=28.8%

TOTAL importing fee=88.8%!!!

 

When you hit 88% per package you are gonna see some serious money disappear!

 

My Miku cost me $530 +$90 shipping +$580 importing fees = $1200 total. I know that if you cant afford, this hobby is not for you, well I could afford Miku but I am afraid she will be the only one in my family for some time.

I'm quite excited about Takane, I'll be entering the lotto for her u3u *fingers crossed*

Just to rub it in, I only have to pay 5% in my province, since we don't have a provincial fee But most of the packages from asia I order get through customs without any fees. I knew there was a benefit to living here somehow...

It's actually the same here, I don't think you have to pay provincial tax for imports, but I didn't want to fix my post after everyone replied f^_^')

Oh my god those customs/import fees! I'm so sorry about those. I'm really grateful that in the US there don't appear to be any tariffs on toys and clothes. I don't think I would be able to participate in any of my hobbies if fees were like that. ;A;

Yeah. I'm trying to talk my parents into giving me a hand there. My mom seems on board with the idea but the real hard seller on that sort of thing so to speak is my dad. We'll see what he has to say. I wonder if anyone else will be doing this for Takane as well...
