Anyone selling a rin fullset and/or a Takane head? As long as it's not a terrible scalper price I'll take it.

But my order number is now (yesterday it wasn't the case) BLUE and "clickable".

Does this means I can still have some hope ? Status is "Lotery".

I just did some quick maths for a rough win rate for Takane, based on the posts here.

 

I counted all the confirmed wins vs losses (losses is a bit rough since in some cases it was difficult to tell whether the loss was for Takane or Rin)

 

Based on my maths, the chance of winning was roughly a 1/9 chance. (3 wins, 28 losses).

 

Of course, this could not be accurate at all, and maybe the people on this thread were just extremely unlucky, or my counting was off ^^;

 

Sorry to all those who lost, and congrats to the other two Takane winners (and everyone who won a Rin)!

From what has been posted earlier clickable might indicate a win, but I think you are supposed to be able to purchase her as of yesterday evening. Unless you have to get a link in your email to add her to your cart.

 

Given how the schedule for the web event seems to be so last minute I'm reluctant to look after market until I know for certain Volks won't be sending me a bill for $1000. I'm 99.9% certain I lost, but I really hope the orders disappear from my account soon if it is true. I have a feeling the scalpers are knowingly riding the wave of disappointment, and also trying to find the sweet spot for an after market price is too. Prices may settle a bit once they start trying to compete with each other more aggressively.

 

What's frustrating is so many scalpers won, and I am betting many of them have multiple dolls to sell to boot, but the genuine collectors on this site are taking home so few dolls. I get that the scalpers in Japan can attend Dolpa's, and probably have ways to get away with entering in multiple stores, but is still seems like the system favors re-sellers. Supposedly Volks frowns on scalping too.

This time I recruited some family members to total 5 entries for Takane- no winners. Not terribly surprising but my lotto win rate is now something like 1/25. I really don't wanna feed the scalper economy, just gonna hope for better luck next time!

I feel awful that the win rate was so abysmal for everyone. I thought there'd be a large number of dolls going out due to the popularity of each series?

 

For me it was 3 entries via myself+friends for Rin, with one win through a friend. I entered on a whim for Takane and got her with only one entry.

Guessing by the lack of emails from Volks that I lost for Takane as well. I attempted to sign in to my account to see if I had a "clickable link" and- not really sure if this is the case- it seems like my account no longer exists? Even trying to get a new password with my phone number and email got me the message that the information I'm using is incorrect or whatever. It let me sign up again with the same email, address, and name, so I guess my previous account got lost or something?

I was lucky and won a Rin through Volks international, but to anyone else who won either Rin or Takane, did you have a weirdly low shipping fee? My EMS fee was only 1200 yen when it would normally be 4700. I wonder if Volks will adjust that between now and shipment? I guess I'll find out...

I think it's definitely a mistake, it's whether or not Volks decides to bill us for it anyway, or if they eat the cost themselves. I can't see them doing that but it's a lot of people to rebill in this case.

I wonder if the lotteries are genuine random "drawings" or if they are weighted by a variety of factors?

I just tried to pay for Takane and it's giving me a CC authorization error. I just purchased an outfit in the clickwar last night and I've never had an issue with overseas CC purchases so oh boyyyyyyyyyy. Hope it's just an error that fixes itself.

It went through after a few tries. The first two I tried by logging directly into my account from Volks, which failed. Then I tried logging in through the link in the winning email and it worked.
