Rin Tohsaka and Takane Shijou

Waiting for an email for Takane too! I've never entered a lottery before and my luck is terrible so I really shouldn't be keeping any hopes up.

I know people in Japan must at least be getting results because I've seen a few auctions for Takane go up and instantly get bought out. (3 at 100k, and 1 at 120k).

 

So here hopin' everyone who entered starts hearin' stuff soon! ^^

So far only the people who entered at Dollpa or physical stores have heard back in Japan. I entered the Japan lottery and have been watching 2ch and no one via Web has mentioned a win yet.

 

Makes me wish I'd made the effort to enter at Dollpa or a physical location.

Does anybody know how it works if you don't win? (only done lottery a few times before). I just checked my order status for Takane and the order number is greyed out and not a link (unlike for example my snow miku). I can't remember if it was like that before, or if I've lost and they've removed the link in the order number? Praying it's the former

I am guessing the first days they will send the message to the winners from the event and then to us of the after event

This new way of running lotteries is to help with scalping as well as an efficient way of preventing unsold limited dolls from sitting in physical store inventory. If you attend the event you have a greater chance of winning your doll. Once all the dolls are allocated to Dolpa attendees, the remainder of the stock is sent out via Volks International Lottery.

 

Yes, all lottery numbers are grey until they are fulfilled and then they become active links so you can check on your order progress.

 

No, the Volks International Lottery winners have not been announced quite yet. Volks will fulfill the Dolpa orders first and the unpaid orders will go back to the stock numbers and be allocated to the international lottery applicants.

 

I guarantee that winners will post to this thread just as soon as they know. The best place to check and see if the winners have been announced is to come right back here.

The wait is killing me.

 

I have no idea how this being a post Christmas event, or how the popularity of Rin may affect the chances for winning either doll. Based on the Lottery Win Rate Thread The odds of winning seem to be about 50/50. The responses there are totally voluntary, so the margin of error on those statistics is probably pretty high. Stats were last updated in 2013 too, so changes in the lottery may have altered the win rate.

 

Out of curiosity are double crossies still a jinx?

No news on this end either. Ugh...the wait is too much.

Perhaps we'll not be getting the results until JP time on the 15th then? Perhaps they have been planning all along to give in-store entries etc their results on the 9th (or whichever day it was), then online entries theirs on the 15th to motivate people to go in store? I think this is the first lottery I've entered where the results haven't been allocated to one specific day, so I'm just trying to work out volks' thinking (since they're always so secretive )

I haven't seen a thing here. I keep hitting refresh and checking my email.

 

This is definitely gonna get down to the wire. I guess by Thursday we'll know!

Nobody has heard a thing about the international lottery results. I also checked my order page and no change there. I just hope Volks won't leave us in agony for two more days. They dang nearly gave me a heart attack earlier today when I suddenly got a 'shipping confirmation' email. I've been so busy I forgot that I put in an order for something else entirely on Friday.

Based on what guyngames posted earlier in this thread the way they are doing it should translate into a higher winning rate for the website entries. The trade off is a longer wait time, and as frustrating as that is I would rather wait longer if it means a better chance at winning.

I honestly don't expect to hear anything until Friday Japan time. I'm okay with that.

I'm looking forward to the lottery results but at the same time I'm okay with them taking their time. It makes that little happy bit of hope linger that I might win a chance to get Takane~

 

I've been popping in here to see if there has been any updates but I have a feeling, like others have said, that Friday might be our lottery day.

For a long time I never was sure who had it harder, the uber long wait for the preorder girls or the waiting game of the lottery. I have to say that because of the unknown outcome of the lottery, this is much, much worse. I seriously do not envy people who do this time and time again. The agony of not knowing is just eating me up and it's exhausting.

It's my first time really entering the lottery for myself, I wonder if its more exhausting for those who have entered lotteries before? Maybe knowing what its like to realize you've won/lost on other occasions creates that feeling? It makes me a little anxious but not too much~

We never had to wait this long^^" Volks was usually pretty fast with the mails (if I remember it correctly... 2 days? ) I know I never had to wait a week for the results

I didnt realize the time frame was that different this time. Goodness!

 

I've only ever bought in-stock items from their international online store or purchased second hand (to get my Akira) so all of this is relatively new. I can see why people were surprised by the wait time now.
