It's not limited to one entry per household, just one doll per name of person. So perhaps you could ask your family or friends to enter as well? If, by any chance, you end up with more than one you would have absolutely no difficulty selling them.

You mean from Japan to Canada? It's much cheaper & faster to ship from Japan than it is from the US Import fees are only Canadian sales tax, if customs feels like dinging you. That's 13%.

I hope so. I've got notoriously bad luck. When Raven and I were still in high school he didn't believe me (he also has natural stupidly good luck) but after being married for so long even he doesn't deny my bad luck anymore. Even when I try my darndest to do everything right, somehow something always comes back to bite me. In the last three weeks I've been madly trying to get a photo story done. I've majorly sprained/bruised the bone of my shoulder, gotten a massive head cold, and two days ago we both got food poisoning after ordering pizza. (Now I've got to cook some Thanksgiving food when just thinking about it makes me mildly queasy.) My luck seems to be that when it rains, it pours.

 

So it's no surprise that I'm more than a little nervous about this lottery. Frankly I'm stunned that I've ended up with as many DD as I have without more problems popping up along the way. I really don't trust my luck at all and I really don't expect to win but I can't help but to try since it's Rin. I just hope that if I don't win that someone will have her for sale without it costing an arm and a leg.

Brunei doesn't charge custom fees to what they consider "toys" so all the dolls I've received were just waved off with an amused/ concerned look from the post office people. (Yeah, all packages must be opened at the post office so I'm forced to showcase my poor naked dolls to random government people.). So I normally just pay Dollfie Price + 2,500 (EMS shipping).

 

Anyway, I used to live in a golden age where I won all the dolls I entered for, but this winning streak ended with Prisma Illya and now I'm actually worried for my chances. So I'll probably do a different strategy for Rin and Takane i.e. get a couple friends of mine to enter the lottery and then re-sell any doubles to whoever didn't manage to win. But wow what if all of my entries lost? That would definitely be depressing.

Brazil here, we are the richest people in the world, we have money falling from the sky , it is the only way to pay our fees:

Federal importing fee(FIF)=60%

State importing fee=18% of (price + FIF)=28.8%

TOTAL importing fee=88.8%!!!

 

When you hit 88% per package you are gonna see some serious money disappear!

 

My Miku cost me $530 +$90 shipping +$580 importing fees = $1200 total. I know that if you cant afford, this hobby is not for you, well I could afford Miku but I am afraid she will be the only one in my family for some time.

Same - I'm thankful we don't have that. Not super happy other counties have it either. I assume it's a deterrent to importing but that shouldn't be on individual goods like that - should apply more to big importers not individuals.

 

I hope everyone does well this go around Esp the Idolmaster folks - if I hadn't gotten so many gals earlier this month i would have gone after Takane Bc I like the narrowed eye look

I REALLY hope Takane's wig isn't made of the same wig fiber as Melty's. Something heavier would be great.

Volks should stop adding sales tax when shipping overseas and the EU should stop adding additional tax over VAT already, then it's 'fair' (still a lot of money tho..).

Still I'm stuck with this and it won't stop me from buying DDs!

I've yet to try for a lottery thru the Int. site so I have no clue where to go to actually put in for a chance. Is there a page set up for it yet or will they wait until the date the lottery starts to put it up? I really, REALLY want to get this Rin so I'm kind of hysterical about not getting the chance to put in ballots on Int and US sites.
