New Girl [WIP]

I received my blank head 1-2 weeks ago and finally found time to do her faceup. It took a bit longer than I though since it was my first time. I dumped paint remover all over her when I was almost finished so I ended up having to repaint Orz

 

I am almost done, just missing blush. Although, she could still use some touch ups and maybe a mouth repaint. >^<

Will be updating everyone when I am done and maybe when I find her a body LOL ^^"

 

 

 

 

In need of a name for her.

I also might be doing commission next month if anyone is interested.

For a first faceup it looks very, very good.

May I ask, what paints and techniques are You using?

As I said on FFM, she looks really great! I wouldn't have known it was your first time doing one, she looks really good. Congrats!

That's incredible work for your first time! You should be very proud of yourself And if you do open up commissions I'm sure you'll have plenty of people wanting your services! She'll look really beautiful once you've gotten her a body and everything else to dress her up How long did it take you to do the face-up the first time before you accidentally spilled paint remover all over the head?

She looks amazing!

Ah yes, I believe she is. I bought a lot of blank heads so I dont know which is which anymore.

I was using some cheap acrylic paint that I found at a local art store here in Canada ^^". As for techniques... I am not really sure. I just take a small brush and paint away.

Ah yes, I put her on my DDS body for a few minutes but I didn't like the wigs I had. Nothing seems to fit her Hopefully she will be complete soon ^^

 

The first time took around 3-4 hours but after the paint remover thing I started to get the hang of it. I think the eyebrowns are the hardest and because my paint is not even. It doesn't seem to want to stick to the resin head

Thank you. Stories are what I can do in lieu of things that require dexterity. And don't be jealous about my girls, since you can make your own you can quickly have whatever size family you want.

Looks really good for your first shot at doing this. Can't wait to see it when it's done

You're welcome! I don't have a Reimu in my family tho. If you saw my recent Doll Meeting pics on Flickr, I can see why you'd say that tho. That Reimu belongs to my friend Ed. He just got her and brought her along to the meet so I could see her in person.

Thanks for clearing that up. Ed was asking me who donated the DDS for Mamimi at the doll meet and I couldn't tell him. I knew it was either Reimu or Marisa but couldn't say which. Now I know!

But she still has to borrow her sisters body until I can get my hands on a DD3 body. I hope they go on sale separately soon.

Her eyes are actually Cool Cat eyes in brown

They go dark like that at certain angles and if you are indoors. I really like the effect.

Her wig belongs to Reimu. It was her alternative wig.
