Question about customs fees for the UK

After ordering my first dollfie dream, directly from volks, I was hit with a £85 customs fee.

I want to order a doll body from mandarake but I'm worried I will have the same problem again

Has anyone any info or past expirence with receiving a package from mandarake? I know some companies mark their items as a gift or lower value to help avoid the fees.

Any help would be much appreciated

I have found that anything i have ordered from Mandrake has gotten threw with no fee. this is two dolls ( one limited and one body) along with a figma, a doll head, a wig and an accessory for a doll. i am in the UK too so its probably safe to order BUT just because i have not gotten a charge does not mean it can happen.

they arrived very quickly. all items are tracked so you will be able to watch them travel. the fist item we got from there arrived in the uk in only a few days then it has been about 1week ish for most of the others that i remember so not to bad.

Remember that shipping cost is factored in to the customs bill (how dumb is that as a policy...) so cheaper shipping means smaller fee.

 

Items not sent express also seem to be less likely to get charged, I guess they look less valuable.
