Rin Shibuya 2nd Release??

 

Google translate isn't very clear but it sounds like volks is remaking Rin Shibuya as well! I'm not personally interested (Thank god) but this will be great for everyone else who wants her!

just show me the Rin I wanna see, Volks... this is the second time I've gotten excited over news of a Rin DD only to find it the wrong Rin.

 

She is cute though, and it's good that they do these rereleases for people who missed them the first time.

I hope so ! I'm not too excited about Rin, but if they rerelease her outfit, I'll definitely be happy.

If she's going to be a release, then I'll pass on Takane. I like both, but this version of Rin is absolutely beautiful and I would love to have her in my collection...plus it gives me time to save up so I could keep her fullset instead of splitting her

When I saw her photo in volks' twitter yesterday I was like "wow, they sure favour re-releases recently".

Entered for previous version of Rin and lost *actually I entered for both her and Ranko including dress sets, and zero *

But I was not actually sad about her cause she wasn't quite herself on owners' photos. Even her wig was meh.

I like this version with more blush and darker (kind of) eyes but I liked first batch on volks promo pics too.

hopefully this rin will be re-released with her school uniform just like uzuki and mio as her uniform is freaking expensive! she looks quite different from the first release... i am going for this girl for sure! ^^,

Yes, this is correct; they have announced a planned Shiburin rerelease for next year. The Cinderella Girls 3rd Live concert was on 11/28, and as is the custom with iM@S concerts these days, Volks was there showing off upcoming DDs related to the franchise.

 

This is called the "Shibuya Rin Cinderella Project Ver". She's still being worked on, but release is planned for 2016. It was not further specified whether it would be early or late in the year.

 

At least from the picture, this one has far heavier blushing than original Shiburin, and there may be other makeup changes as well but the picture is somewhat dark. This is not the final version, though so anything we see in it might be tweaked later on.

Will Volks maybe re-release a few of the other girls, too? I could see Miki and Ranko being remade since their sets go for quite a bit.

Her eyes in that image seem to be more of an Emerald color. I'm not 100% sure it's not just the lighting, but that might be a difference.

 

Not sure I want two Rin's though. I may just look at getting the school outfit from a split.

You could always check YJA, but I will warn you up front I had it on her without any protection for all of a minute and it stained her. You can put a white slip on underneath it to protect her from most of the issues, but you have to put tape under the shoulder straps or they will stain. It's possible to do all that and still have it look good if you use a slip with lace edges.
