Rin Shibuya 2nd Release??

Gah her price is only $58000 yen... Now I'm tempted. Need a second Rin head for a custom, and they sell for almost that much so the outfit would be a bonus.

 

Delivery is end of May.

Hey Wolf. I can't tell much since I can't translate the page on my phone. Is she going to be lottery mid-May? I think that's what I'm reading.

The lottery info page I posted above should be in English. The dates appear to be as follows:

 

Entry: April 9th to 24th.

Dolpa entry: May 5th.

Results: May 18th to May 20th.

Payment and shipping: May 21 - 29th.

 

The SDGr dolls have a separate results and payment schedule.

I was able to buy the ticket and guidebook for the recent Kyoto Dolpa at in person at Volks Osaka a week before the Dolpa. I believe foo ordered his ticket online.

I'm glad the Rin is being re-released, but I'm kinda sad that the outfit is part of the fullset since all I want is the uniform. I guess if anyone is willing to split the uniform, I'd be interestedBut I doubt that'll happen.

The main thing to do is to buy the Guidebook and also the Ticket (you need both), and then show up on time. Like la_ said I bought the guidebook & ticket as soon as they were on sale at the Volks Website Store and it shipped to me in time.

 

Make sure to bring lots of cash.

Dang! bad timing with snow miku. I was hoping for this in the fall, but I probably wont win the lottery anyway :p

I really want her head! But there is no way I can afford the full doll >_

I literally got my Miku last month from the previous lottery and now this! My bank account is going to be crying.

Given that Snow Miku is happening in just over 2 months (yikes, where did the time go?) and I just splurged on a Makoto Kikuchi head, I'm going to have to pass.

I talked about Dolpa a few times in the past, but the quick answer is: go to a Volks store in Japan and purchase a Guidebook and entry ticket sometime before the event. They'll be at the cash register in the doll section of the store. Then decide whether to stand in the Sumika line in the AM (first dibs on Volks clothes) or the General Admission line (first dibs on dealers). That is all. You don't need any Volks card or Japanese address to go.

 

Note that you can't get any dolls anymore, going as a foreigner, as far as I'm aware. Now that there are no more dolls for sale on-site at Dolpa as of last December, I think you have to have a Japanese address in order to enter the Dolpa lottery pool for dolls. (just like you do if entering at a physical Japanese store.) So if you want Shiburin v2, you should enter the Volks International lottery regardless.

It's hard to tell the difference in the faceup with the product photos; other than possibly the mouth it's hard to pin down what's just photographic differences and what's changed. But according to the blog entry,

The outfit, wig, and faceup is new.

Her eyes seem more teal than emerald to me when compared to my Rin V1, but as you say it could be a photographic difference.

I'm safe this round *phew*! Too many rereleases from Volks lately that haven't caught my fancy. Now if they released another Rise now we're talking!!

I really like Rin's sculpt so I might be interested in a split in the future.

I entered for both her and Arle. I really want Rin though. She would be my first Dollfie. I tried for v1 Rin but didn't get her and can't afford aftermarket prices. Fingers crossed and best of luck!

I'm so conflicted on this lottery! It would be awesome if I won Rin because she looks so pretty but if I don't it its also good because it would potentially save me lots of money.

I decided to enter for Rin. She's a cutie and I've liked her since the first release. I think her lip color is a bit nicer this tine around too.

I entered for Rin as well. Fingers crossed for all of us. She's a knockout!

Does anyone know about what time they usually email winners? I'm probably not going to sleep (or at least get good sleep) until I know. I dreamt about it all night last night and today is going super slow. I think if I at least have some sort of idea what to expect I'll be better off.

I'd say from 2PM JST to....well the next day mattering one how things are going for them. I can remember a couple of lotteries where I got results a full 24 hours later than stated, though those were with SDs each time.

 

Hopefully, you get some sort of rest though! I think waking up to a winning results is actually a amazing. Is a nice way to perk up your day. ^^

Thank you for the info! I will try to rest, for sure, but I don't think I will. I didn't win Rin the first time around and I'm hoping to have a better chance with the rerelease. I already have v1 default outfit and the new generations outfit. Just need to get Rin home finally.
