Oni-Chan Posted November 29, 2015 I've never had the chance to go to a con where dd are for sale (damn Australia) but I would make the day you get them their birthday ^×^ I have more dollfies than my age in years *×*
Monty Posted November 29, 2015 I thought it was when you unboxed them. Are ones sold at cons usually in boxes? If they're already all put together I guess it'd be the day you bought them. *twitter*instagram*art*
baldylox Posted November 29, 2015 i always see people talking about there girls birthday and that its the day they arrived by mail but what about when you by them in person at a con is it the they you bought them or the day you returned home from the con? I always set my girls birthdays as when they arrive home to me complete. I've purchased girls at stores in Japan before but still set their b-days to when they got to my house after I shipped them home. Here are some examples: Rei - purchased at a Mandarake in Osaka in person Yoko - purchased in DenDen Town in Osaka in person 2 days after Rei They both arrived home at the same time because I couldn't carry them onto the plane home with me so I shipped them out. They share the same B-day date but I consider Rei to be 2 days older than Yoko because I bought her 2 days before Yoko. For Mamimi, my DDS girl, I bought her head first, then got her eyes and then her body. Once the body and head were joined together to make her complete, THAT was the date I used for her B-day. Same with any other project girls I've built myself and had to wait for a face up to be done or parts to come in. So I guess overall, once a girl is complete and at my house, that's the day I use as her birthday/anniversary. Billy I gave up counting the girls I own, they keep multiplying and won't stop. Jezrah Posted November 29, 2015 I personally don't wait for absolutely everything to be together before I set a birthday, I base it on when they or their head get here. I often had floating heads and if I went by when I had head, eyes, wig, and body together, then I would be saying I've only had some of my dolls for a few months when their head's been here a few years. That'd be silly for me. If I bought a doll at a convention I'd probably say the day I bought them was their birthday, unless for some reason (like shipping) I didn't open her til I got home. If I bought one in person in Japan but shipped them immediately home without opening them myself I'd go by when they reached my house instead of when I paid.
