How often do you change out eyes?

Out of curiosity, how often do you guys change out your girls eyes? Adding onto that, what about outfits and wigs too?? Or do you commit to a certain look once you get a girl and never change her? I change my mind about things quite often so I feel like if I never changed things up I would end up with sooo many dolls to accommodate each style and personality I had in mind. But I like the idea of experimenting with different eyes and looks with my girl until I find the one that's perfect for her. Antways, what do you guys think?

Once I finish a character, they stay that way. I tend to settle on a design and stick with it. I don't even really 'play' with my girls much. Just change their posing a little from time to time. As I am a cripple with limited mobility, and weak hands it's quite a chore to even put a girl together initially; it can take hours to dress them, so I prefer not to mess with them once I am happy with their look. ^^;

If I still had the agility of my youth I'd probably do more with them, though switching eyes is unlikely. I choose eyes to go with their initial look and tend to stuck with it. I've only changed default eyes out of three character heads (Yukino, Miku and Sheryl) because they weren't what I wanted at the time. Yukino used to be my testbed, so did actually have numerous eyes over the near two years I've had her, but I certainly don't change char eyes on a whim.

I personally don't change eyes, as I find my girl's default color was exactly what charmed me to her

Wig and outfits tho? That stuff changes constantly!!

She tends to have the same color of wig but in different styles. Can't exactly restyle this stuff as easily as on a human, thus something like 5 wigs it is (I braid & rebraid her longest wig all the damn time tho. Sometimes it's a fishtail-braid sort of day, sometimes a big messy bun, sometimes a bunch of small halfbraids)

and outfits, well lets just say Her Grace here has more coordinates than I do

Changing eyes is kind of a pain for me, so my answer is: "as little as possible." Soon after I get a girl I'll swap a bunch of eyes in--usually without closing her head--to find what works. A couple times I've had to go make new ones because what I have on hand isn't just right, but either way, once I've got the right pair, I'll get them set just right, and only move them if they're dislodged or there's an unequivocal upgrade at hand.

Wigs though, those I change pretty freely--each girl besides Abby has at least two that are "hers", and they do occasionally steal them from one another. And of course they do change outfits periodically too, because who outside of low-budget cartoons stays in the same outfit 100% of the time?

In this household, sanity is considered a tresspasser.

I changed Amber's eyes out sometime after the first week. I haven't touched them again in the 6 months since. I'm not in any hurry to change them again. Although sometimes I do miss her original apricot eye look.

I change her outfit about once a week.

As for wig... I think she was consistently in her long blonde wig for about two months. Now she's in her default Candy wig again. I don't change her wig very much because she only has three. She hasn't worn her third wig (her dark one) for some time.

Amber has spent the last few outfit sets just sitting in a single pose on her stand. That's mostly because I've been struggling with a cold for the past three weeks. But historically, I tend to put her in minor pose variations every couple of days.

So much this. All my girls have hard headcaps. Changing eyes used to be literally a pain, but I finally got a cheap $20 hair dryer so it's a little easier, but still difficult as hell. I wouldn't even have gotten that if Yoko's eye hadn't dislodged from her factory glue.

Annie's headcap bit my finger once, so I don't like opening their heads much.

My 4 girls actually have all (maybe not the little one Amaryllis which is the last arrived) 2 different default aesthetics fixed; one with animetic eyes + wig and one with realistical eyes + wig , sometimes they change the eyes only between each look sometimes even the wig style/color.

To be honest they have also a "travel look" with a easy going wig to move them easily (sewing on commission and faceups and every weekend i move to grandfather's house so i move very often my girls ).

About outfits i have just a few because i'm always broke not having a daily job , so i spend most of my time sewing on commission for others and not have time for sewing for my girls, but they have different styles so they have all some dresses/outfits each, but until they don't have enough on their own they can share some one-fits-all garments like kimonos/hakama between DD3/DD2/DDS , and same for shoes.

So they get a moderate changing outfits - rate (like every 3 months kinda )

Girls at home:

Lilac - DD2 WS + DDH-06 /Primrose - White Christmas Alna head /Iris - DDS NS + DDH-05 modded /Amaryllis - MDD NS + DDH-06 modded

Most of my gals don't have a set look so their eyes get changed with nearly every outfit change, and I try to change outfits every couple months at least

The exceptions are Yuki and Chihaya (I really like their default eyes!) and of course those with hard headcaps get changed less frequently. I've also gotten bitten by a hard headcap before too, ouch! XI
