MyuMyu Posted December 5, 2015 Hi guys! Have you ever sold your favorite doll? I did and I am not happy about it. But, how did I arrive to this? I don't like DDdy body too much and I wanted to sell it or trade it for a DDS body. My main idea was to use the DDS body with my second 04 head and get a L breast piece for a DDII body I would use for this doll head. I had a buyer, but she wanted a full doll badly. I would sold any of my heads with the body before that one, but she was in love with it (even if she asked me about how to erase the face up afterwards, which was pretty painful for me). I decided to sell the doll to her because I have been trying to sell my resin dolls for years without being successful and I thought that I could ever paint another 4 head myself after painting that one. So I did a goodbye gallery for her. I didn't take many pictures because I didn't want to regret about the sale. Now that she is not at home I feel better. I will be able to get that DDS body, but probably I will go for a new head. Or maybe, I will try to get my grail doll head (Miu Amaha!), which is not very popular so it shouldn't be too expensive. ] Sorry for so much talking in the gallery, I only wanted to give her a proper goodbye. Thank you very much for reading and I hope you to like the pictures BTW: I'm not blaming the buyer for falling in love with the girl, it was my decision to sell her the doll
Lore Posted December 7, 2015 Awwww sorry to see one of your dolls go, but I'm sure the new owner will love her just as much. I think this is a good way to say goodbye. At Home: DD Snow Miku, DD Luka, DDS Makoto, DD Airy, DDS KizunaAI
MyuMyu Posted December 7, 2015 Thank you! The new owner has received it already and it looks like if she were a different doll. My girl would kill me if I had dresses her in the way she did, haha.
Lore Posted December 7, 2015 That's really funny! It's always interesting to see what a different person does to a doll. At Home: DD Snow Miku, DD Luka, DDS Makoto, DD Airy, DDS KizunaAI
baldylox Posted December 8, 2015 Awwww... I can only imagine how it feels to sell a beloved girl. I've never sold any of mine so I can't imagine how heartbreaking it can be but I can imagine it's pretty bad. At least you know that she's being loved and getting attention and is in good hands. That's all I would want if I had to sell any of mine. And this is a good way to say goodbye to her too. Sharing photos of her is a fitting tribute, make sure you save all the pics of her you can so you never forget. Maybe in the future you could even rebuild her again.... you never know! Billy I gave up counting the girls I own, they keep multiplying and won't stop.
MyuMyu Posted December 8, 2015 Aubzy82 That's true. A doll can change a lot depending on the owner. I never thought I would see her so different. She is not the doll I built anymore. Billy It's awesome you to keep all your dolls having such a big family. I wouldn't have parted with her if I had any kind of income, but at this moment I am living with my mother, after a long time being unemployed. For me, the worst part has been while she was paying me the layaway and asking me about the doll every day, because it was harmful to think that she would be gone soon. Now I feel better and I will follow your advice, I'm keeping the pictures. No one knows what can happen in the future
