On the other hand, yesterday they didn't look all that different from before the close, so. .. Yeah. No idea what the hell they're doing. About 10 minutes ago they officially announced on the Facebook page that the webstore is back up. So far it's just really laggy. I should have anticipated this tbh. :T ETA: Alright, the lag is gone, but now I'm just getting a lot of "page not found" errors on the Dollfie minisite. Then it loads right up? That's confusing. (For one, it's a current release, and the US branch always gets their stuff late; for another, the US branch never got any of the Macross license.) Amber Posted March 8, 2016 I dunno how that could really be done on accident. I don't know who their hosting company is, but to delete all of that information "on accident" just seems so unlikely. Especially with all of the cloud services and backups that could easily be done to get the information lost back instantly. Seems shady, but who knows. I hope the hosting company is working to restore the lost files, if they were just deleted then maybe it's possible to recover the data. I'm guessing some semi-automated tool to merge the old and new DB just went totally off the rails. After reading about all this, THAT was my first question.... did they manage to save the data that says people won and paid? To double check, I wrote an email to Volks yesterday and they replied today saying that none of the preorders or lottery winners info got lost, they will receive their dolls as previously stated. I was close to freaking out about it if I'd learned they lost that bit of info! Billy I gave up counting the girls I own, they keep multiplying and won't stop. It sounds like they still have all of the data from the old site, but if no backups exist anywhere then they will probably have to redo all the work they did during their planned outage at the beginning of the year. I don't remember exactly when it was, but sometime over the weekend I was able to do a mock order, i.e. add stuff to the shopping cart and even get a shipping quote. At the time I assumed they were back online. Now I get the "temporarily closed" notice, so it looks like it was a fluke, but the info is there.
