DD plans for 2016?

Plans for the new year?

 

- Be back in the community: I've been here only a couple of years but there was a time where I posted huge galleries of pics or some silly photostory of them interacting with me. I should go back to that

 

- Not buy more dolls (last year I said the same and brought home 4 limited heads... )

 

- Maybe upgrade my last MDD to a MDD3. That would pose the problem of what to do with the remaining MDD. Make a new little one?

 

- Finish all the dolls I have at home. I need an official outfit for the new ones!

My plans for 2016:

 

1) Buy more casual clothing

2) Buy more custom made doll clothing - mainly gowns

3) Get a Saber Extra Dollfie Dream!

4) Buy more Taobao wigs, eyes, accessories and clothing

5) Take more photographs of my dolls

6) Go to a doll event with them

7) Take my dolls out for photo shoots

8) Save money for Smart Doll Boy =)

9) Get a custom DDH09 head

10) Get a body for my custom ddh07 head

lol let's see how I did in my first year of ownership...

 

assemble felicia's casual, adventuring and goddess outfits...

 

adventuring outfit .... partial check. missing her tactical vest

casual outfit.... mostly check. Colours are slightly off and shirt could be better, but it's there.

goddess outfit... nope.

 

attempt to win melty lottery and:

 

Cry that I won cause I need to pay for her and turn her into Felicia's daughter NOAH.

 

Cry that I didn't win her then sigh in relief as I don't have to pay for her and her outfits just yet.

 

did not win melty, however preordered snow miku who should be ok as well.

Assemble Felicia's mom (Jenn)Wait for sheryl release to put jenn together...or not. I could end up cancelling my sheryl preorder before the deadline, still haven't decided if I can make sheryl's head work for jenn.

 

That happened... acquired an 09, had it painted by niya mia, put her on a dd3 body, but recently ended up swapping felicia's dds waist and thighs so felicia has bigger hips to fit her pants better. Sheryl was cancelled in time. I sometimes have cancellation regret there are certain pics that make her really look good to me, and other pics that make me satisfied I made the right decision.

 

 

and her modern casual, modern adventuring and goddess outfits.

 

 

Almost no movement on this at all. She's clothed but none of her clothes fit closely to what I had designed for her in original artwork. Almost all of her adventuring and goddess outfits will have to be made.

 

 

make jenn's 2 tone wig.

 

That sort of happened. I got my hands on an ok dollce wig and modded it to have her blue streak and sort of styled it to be her hair style, but the wig was just too far from the style I was trying to make it. It works, but it's not as good as a custom wig. I have found a vendor to make one though, so I have ordered one. Hopefully it turns out. I'm still not sure if the person who took my order really understood what I was looking for, even after sending lots of pictures.

 

 

Source a second 07 head for cheap to make castings of.

Sculpt and cast Felicia's ears.Sell ears for 07 head lol.... maybe.

 

 

The extra blank 07 happened and I'm still in the process of finishing the sculpting/sanding work on the ears. They aren't cast though. I went with the easier method of epoxy putty right on the 07 head and was able to pop them off and put them on the live head. they snap on and stay with good retention. They need some finish work and paint.

 

Find seamstress to make tactical vest for jenn and felicia, and someone to possibly make their goddess outfits.

That streamstress would be me. :I

I decided shortly after the post that it would be of greater value to me to learn how to do it myself rather than pay someone else to do it. I'm still amassing the right materials to go forward. I've started on some other projects to skill up. Still a ways away though.

 

 

Figure out how to make some swords for jenn.

 

This one is really the only one I haven't touched at all or put much thought into. I'm thinking it will have to be 3d printed, but I have had no time to deal with it. With so much other work to do, this will be at the bottom of the list of priorities.

 

 

 

the new list for 2016:

 

finish felicia's ears. They need polish, prime, paint and seal.

felicia's tactical vest. I have all the materials to do this at the moment, the climbing harness I made was the practice run. This will probably be first on the list to do. Pouches might be a concern at the moment since I don't have extra magazines for the gun she has now. Which leads to:

3d printing the correct rifle for her. I need to get on this, but the way the vest will be made to emulate real military stuff, I can make new pouches later on and put them on after I have the correct rifle and extra magazines.

 

Tailor a better red shirt: I might rip apart her sd16 red shirt and mod it to fit her better. Or red dye the freedom teller dress shirt I got for her. We'll see. Her clothes are supposed to fit loose on her, so having form fitting clothes would be against my original design. works fine now that I've made some adjustments to the body and with the vest on.

Grey cargo pants: I really love the pants she has now, but they're green. I may try to clone them in grey. The pants fit perfect now that I have a ddy waist on her. Grey would still be better but have a pair of sunny's world cargos in grey that fit now, and I will mod them a bit to emulate the feel of the green pants.

Goddess outfit: Here's something that's on the backburner. I will need to learn how to make an outfit from scratch. Tactical gear is easy because it's not form fitting and has adjustment built into it by design. For clothing I will need to do it all from scratch, and it's a bit beyond my level right now.

 

Finalize wig mods: I still have a few locks of hair to put into her wig which has been modded quite a bit from the original leeke wig. It was near perfect after a bit of styling, the modding was adding more hair to the bangs. I need to add some sideburns to help cover ear seams and where the wig cap is sitting vs the ears.

 

 

Jenn needs her fantasy adventuring and goddess outfits: need to learn more about dress making and pattern making. I have collected some if not all the materials I need.

 

her modern adventuring outfit. Again I will need to make the shirt/jacket from scratch as well as her tactical vest. The logical progression would be from the tactical gear, I will learn to sew shirts and jackets. I may need to find better boots for her and a better pair of pants, but both currently are adequate.

 

A sword: something might happen at the same time I send felicia's gun to be printed. I'll need to do some thinking and designing as it will need to be assembled out of opaque and transparent material.

 

snow miku convert to noah

Depending on when her arrival will be, Might actually be 2017 before I see her.

I will need to put together a futuristic fighter pilot's outfit, found an appropriate bodysuit/stocking. Going to modify a navy blue jumpsuit/coverall, need to make g-suit and helmet.

 

wig and ears similar to felicia's. Which means I have to go hard after resin cast miku ears that come up on yja or make my own.

 

I will need an appropriate pale/light pink wig.

 

Blue eyes I have.

 

Will need to decide if I want to part out snow miku's stuff.

 

Keep an eye out for an alna head to put Jenn's mother together. with the canadian dollar continuing to tank, I'm not solid on the wisdom of going after a 4th doll, I'll call it a very opportunistic backburner project.

will be making Minami Nitta from idolmaster as well.. ^^, these new girls will have to borrow Meiko and Mizuki's body then.. ^^,

sale a good portion of my anime figures on eBay and waste the funds on my DD

I'm trying to keep buying to a modest minimum this year. I swore I was only going to have one DD girl and somehow last year I ended up with 6, with Snow Miku on order. Whoops.

 

* Pay/save for Snow Miku.

* Body for my Nanoha head Ordered last night, yay for Volks restock!

* Get a DDH01 or 06 head to practice DD faceups on so I can customize some of my plainer girls (Mio and Nanoha, I'm looking at you)

* Sew! Sew! Sew! This is probably my biggest priority for this year

* Acquire more gorgeous DD shoes

* More and better photography. Get some more backdrops and props and things so my pictures are more interesting than just "here's a picture of my doll"

* More photo trips with the local meetup group! Our outing in December was lots of fun, I want to do more.

* Be more active in the community and meet more lovely DD people!

 

* Far out there wishlist - Bring home Alisa and Sasara. May be something to start saving for after Miku is paid for

I went a bit overboard on dolls in 2015, so for 2016 I'd like to focus on clothes and shoes. Perhaps buy a few outfits throughout the year and maybe two pairs of shoes.

My plans list probably looks odd since I'm probably in a small pool of people who don't collect DD in any way ><

 

1. Get my hands on Volk's Siren outfit/buy my first Volks outfit (I'm hoping that the Siren outfit will be my first Volks outfit, though lately I've been wondering to spend so much on an outfit lol...)

2. Finish the mods on my girl (I'm in the middle of planning putting some sort speakers in my girl; would really like to figure that out very soon)

3. Take more photos, now that I have a DSLR ^ ^ ;a

4. Decide if I want to keep my girl's current eyes or try to buy the Miku official eyes secondhand (I've been on the fence for the past two months or so)

5. Take my girl sakura viewing this year (I do a sakura photoshoot every year)

6. Make a "charging station" somewhere in my room (I had the idea of this last year since I thought it would be nice to have something proper like that for her to sit in in my room; it's basically a fancy custom chair or something)

7. Internally cry that I can't afford a Smart Doll boy when the ebony/tan version comes out

Buy them a closet for all their clothes. Omg.

Get the alt version outfits for Alna, Saber, Nia, and Siren outfit for Miku.

Pay for Takane if I win.

Save up for Ranka and Alisa.

Consider doing a custom DD or DDdy based on one of my MMO characters.

- MDD body (normal or semi white)

- arm/hands/thighs/shins/feet/bust M for DDIII semi white

- volks carrier

- MDD Cirno

- DD Snow Miku

- get a few more outfits + shoes for all my girls

- get Sheryl custom faceup

- commission Zelda costume somewhere

My plans...

 

1. Hopefully get more money so I can start my Lucina project... Meaning buying a head, body, wig and eyes for starters.

 

2. Start to learn how to sew so I can make Lucina her clothes...

 

 

Welp, those were my plans for 2015.

However I do have a chance of buying an 09 head so that's a possibility.

Body, wig eyes and such will wait so much later... (I got a new puppy. ; w ; )

And sewinggggg, I want to learn but it is so difficultttttt. __(:3

 

(But seriously, I really do hope I can learn how to sew. Been wanting to cosplay for a few years now and I think it's a perfect opportunity.)

- Research more about faceups, customization & sewing in general.

 

- Complete customization/build a girl from parts project (Which will either be an original character or Zelcher/Cherche/Serge from FE, still hesitating a lot on this one ;A;)

1. Get Ayame's boyfriend Kai(Smartdoll Boy Eiji)(Have)

2. Purchase more outfits for her(but not too many, have to worry about my wallet )

3. SHOES!!! (A girl can't have too many, right?)

4. Get her siblings together, Mai and Hiro(been waiting like forever for them)

 

Just added:

5. Purchase some outfits for Kai

6. Get some SHOES for my Smartdoll Eiji(Kai)

My plans for this year is get some clothes, shoes, wigs, pairs of hands and breasts for Miku, also buy a boyfriend for her. Thinking in get Denny's Smartdoll Eiji.

well lets see...

 

dd plans for 2015 were:

maintain leena and possibly get her a new dddy3 shapely bust body

make sure i finally get my miku after the painstakingly long wait for her to finally arrive.

 

what happened in 2015:

got miku, fell in love with a mdd and bought her, then fell into picking up a longtime favorite yoko and then finding her a nice dddy3 body.

 

plans for 2016:

find a new dddy3 shapely bust for leena

find a new mdd3 Lbust body for hinamori

pick up a few new outfits for each girl.

 

what will probably happen in 2016:

my wallet will be on life support as i have an odd feeling i may end up with at least 2-3 more girls(miki, miko, saber, or an ebony smartdoll are all in contention) this year if im not careful...

 

...must...maintain...self......control...

DD plans:

- Save for my first girl, possibly, a fullset Kos-Mos (no weapons though)

- Gather materials to practice face-ups and plans on making my gal a more darker skin tone

- Get nicer clothes for her instead of myself

I hope my plan is successful!

Plans:

 

Receive, mod, paint blue, and faceup my DDH-01 head (it should be coming in the mail any day now!!!)

 

Purchase and paint an MDD body (this will likely happen over the summer/fall, no funds now)

 

Finish the MDD character (summer/fall)

 

Avoid any extraneous DD purchases.

i went and dug up my 2015 post just to see how I did

 

1. I'm hoping to get my first dollfie for 2015.

I did!

2. Sew lots of things for her!

Eehhhh some stuff, not as much as I had hoped I would (Just a lack of time and energy). But I did craft a lot of stuff for her overall, so I'm gonna give this a partially complete.

3. Make her a cute room.

Fail.

4. Be bankrupted from buying her too much....

Success! (Or is that a success?)

I'd also like to get my other dolls the makeovers they so very badly need. Guess we'll see!

I did one doll, out of all of my dolls. Fail. (Technically two, but I hated it so he's back on the makeover list).

As for my 2016 plans...

 

1. Finish my current ongoing (And at this point much more expensive than I intended) project.

2. Set up an area for my DD. Be it a room or just a place to set up a few pieces, just something better than a shelf.

3. Start my next planned project (Which should be cheaper because I have so many of the supplies on hand now. XD).

4. Buy more hands, all the hands. I need more hands!

5. Shoes, and maybe heeled feet, and then high heels.

6. Start saving for at least one of the smart doll guys.

 

And again, I would like to try and get some of my other dolls makeovers.

I didn't have a plan for 2015, so I would just try start a new one here lol.

 

1. Try not to buy too many girls, If I buy new one. One must go

2. Be more creative with my doll photos. It all looks the same

3. More outfit for my girls. Only casual one counts, not cosplay.

4. More outdoor photos.

5. More DDS Chihaya

1. Get my long beloved Hatsune Miku

2. Visit Volks, DD and secondhand doll stores in Japan (summer)

3. Get a body for my floating head or temporary replace it with my Yukino

4. Make a outfit for my custom DD

5. Get the accessories needed for my custom DD

6. Spend more time with my girls

7. More (outdoor) photoshoots and upload them (what a shame, I haven't even uploaded all yet)

My only plan is to try NOT to buy more dolls X'D

Didn't happen. I went into a rut during 2015 and decided I didn't want to keep a 'character' doll anymore, so I reshelled Naoto into an OC I love dearly

 

→ Bring home Senka's girlfriend Selina and probably buy her a body at some point kek

Kind of happened. brought her home, but didn't push through with this so I ended up selling her head

 

→ Also gotta bring home mystery DD no# 6, hopefully by march

I ended up getting her in August, but Vivienne's home at least www

 

→ Get around to designing and commission Fem!Ky Kiske dd costume, and probably get Magnolia Eclair and Falchion done by march too???? (thanks GGXRD)

I only got Falchion done. soooo does this mean half points? w

→ MAYBE get Chihaya/Miku/SB Sakuya? Then again not very likely since I just acquired Selina and mystery 6th girl kek

→ Finish Nyx's grandmaster outfit (Maybe her fates too outfit if I can figure out how to design it weh)

→ Get Senka and Aila's weapons done

→ Even more clothes (Particularly for Vivienne and Aila)

→ Shell my FE:Fates MU Maria and maaaaybe Grima to satisfy my thirst for Grima/Nyx lol

→ Get a Sheryl or a Miku, whichever comes first lmao.

My only plan is to try NOT to buy more dolls X'D
