ddh-04 with 22mm eyes?

hello. According to Volks website, Mayu/ddh 04 head has 24mm eyes. But can you use 22mm eyes instead? Would they be too small? Do you know where I could find photos of Mayu/ddh 04 head with 22mm eyes?

Hello! Personally, I find 22mm eyes to be too small for her. I have some quick comparison pictures below.

 

 

I had a DDH-04 for a little while, and the interesting thing I noticed is that her eye hole is taller than it is wide! I thought oval shaped irises worked better than round irises. It is difficult to set eyes in her so she looks cute and not surprised.

 

You can check out the DDH-04 database here and see what size people are putting in their girls! I found one person who used 22mm.

I agree that oval eyes would be best for her. The thing is that I found eyes I like but they are not that oval (I think). So I was wondering if 22mm would be better. The eyes I like are arietta project S-03.

I think that the S-03 eyes are more oval shaped than round. They look a little wider at the top, which will keep her from looking surprised. It all depends on how much white you want showing under her iris and at the sides.

 

 

Here's a pic of my DDH-06 girl wearing AP T-06 blue eyes in 22mm. The irises on these eyes are also wider at the top. Her eye holes are more round than the 04 eye holes.
