Yumeiro Posted January 5, 2016 Thought I should share the Coolcat wrist-parts that was recently released. The color match is pretty much perfect. The coolcat parts are slightly paler, but my volks parts are a year old. And you cannot trust my photos to show a fair representation of the skin colors, due to bad lightning. I can try to take new ones, if someone wants me to. The coolcat parts are slightly longer too. So even though they said that for DDdy and DDII you would have to trim them, I have had to trim them slightly for my DDIII. Their functionality compared to volks..? They work the same. Any questions? tunedbysaturnsl1 Posted January 5, 2016 Thanks for the review. They definitely look like something I'll check into for my girls.
Eustia Posted January 5, 2016 I also found I had to trim mine, despite all my girls being DD3. It says trim for DD2, but they were definitely too long to fit in my 3s. Not a big deal, though I need to get some sandpaper or at least emery boards to smooth them a bit, I think. I don't like leaving it as rough as it is. SeikoKitsune Posted January 8, 2016 Is it easy to swap these wrist parts? I was thinking how it would be great to have a couple of these so that it's not such a pain to switch hands. I hate breaking out the blow dryer just to get a different pose. The cast so far: Sky (DDS Mariko), "SK" (DDH-07 on DDS) Extra: LEN KAGAMINE
Yumeiro Posted January 8, 2016 Switching the wrist-parts is the same..? Like, there is no difference in how they fit. So if you have trouble getting the hand parts on your volks part, you will have the same trouble with the cool-cat part. If you can remove the volks wrist-part easily, you can remove the cool-cat wrist-part just as easily. In my experience at least. But I think that color would be the only thing that would differ from batch to batch, with cool-cat, at least, and thus size difference should not be something you need to worry about. Not sure if I answered your question there, SeikoKitsune, so feel free to clarify what information you were after.

SeikoKitsune Posted March 4, 2016 Help! How on earth do you jam the new Volks wrists all the way into the arm? Mine are sticking out too far compared to the old wrist parts and I've pushed really hard. They won't go into my DDS or my DDIII. tunedbysaturnsl1 Posted March 5, 2016 You have to trim them down a bit I believe.
SeikoKitsune Posted March 6, 2016 You have to trim them down a bit I believe. I'd be surprised if I had to do that, because I have Volks brand multiple angle wrists and they are the same length as my old, original wrists. I know Cool Cat wrists need to be trimmed. Yumeiro Posted March 6, 2016 they are the same length as my old, original wrists. What about the girth? You might have to sand it.
Poofiemus Posted March 6, 2016 they are the same length as my old, original wrists. What about the girth? You might have to sand it. Yeah, they may still have sprues/spouts/molding artifacts. I know the Miku hands I got sure did! Some I still need to sand down further. In this household, sanity is considered a tresspasser.
