The lighting I used: A 650 watt Fresnel Spot in front and slightly to the right. An SB-800 flash unit with a white umbrella for diffusion on her left slaved to the built in flash on my camera. My D800s on camera flash with my SB-800s diffusion dome manually held in front of it. Beauty by Saber Lily. I want to learn more about proper studio lighting, so honest critique of the photo is welcome. The difference between Dollfie Dreams and Heroin? BeyondTime Posted January 10, 2016 Lily is one of the best face sculpts they have done. The bear is actually about 20 years old. It belonged to a cat I had who died of Lymphoma a few years ago. It was his favorite toy, and I couldn't bear to toss it so I washed it and put it away. I dug it out and gave it to Lily. It's sort of nice seeing it on display instead of sitting in a box in my closet. It has a bit of an orange tint to it from age, so I used a Nik filter to push it back to brown. It had the side effect of making Lily's hair a bit more coppery in the photo, which I decided I liked because it goes well with the green in her eyes. I wanted to get a second gun when I got her, but the single I got along with her was pushing things financially. This time a group shot. The Wigs on Ami and Saber are both Leekeworld. I put Saber Extra on layaway thinking I would never get a Saber Lily, and then I got a really nice tax return and that out of reach Saber Lily arrived before Saber Extra was paid off. When Extra arrived her wig was really disappointing. The tails on the side of her face were bent out of shape and the wig was really tight. She's a beautiful doll, but the poor fit on her wig was very disappointing. Thanks to folks on the forum I fixed the side tails on her original wig, but I don't feel like putting it back on now. I have a Saber Lily so Saber E doesn't need to stay Saber so to speak. She can re-invent herself. The wig she has on now gives her a whole new look. The difference between Dollfie Dreams and Heroin?
