gingerchu Posted January 15, 2016 Hi I'm not sure I have put my question is the correct spot, but I just noticed that Volks has their normal skin MDD III body marked as "sold out" on their website. Is this normal? I am desperate for a body and I know the bodies are not always in stock but I didn't expect to see "sold out". Galvatim Posted January 15, 2016 "Sold out" on Volks is totally normal. It's "in stock" that's the strange occurrence... In this case it just means Volks is out of stock for now. They should restock eventually. It might be a month or two, but Volks wouldn't discontinue the MDD body just like that. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

It's hard to know exactly what they mean by Sold Out, but if it's really not coming back they'll completely remove it from the web site pretty quickly. Any stuff that's Sold Out can pop back into stock randomly. They might just have a script that updates stuff that does 'Sold Out' instead of 'Will be Restocked.' Or maybe someone had fat fingers. When it comes back up you can check the Volks USA site too. When I assembled the body for my Shion I had to go to both the Japanese and the US sites to get all the parts. I also had to wait 3 months for them to re-stock feet with the internal frame part. I'd also suggest snatching up the various hands when you see them available. I don't know about the MDD parts, but it took me a long time to get the paper/outstretched hands and idol love hands for DIII/DDS Normal skin. Hands in different poses can add a lot of personality when you pose them. The difference between Dollfie Dreams and Heroin? Heroin is illegal, Dollfie Dreams probably should be. “Empty wallets, full hearts.” That’s probably an apt description for the effects of DD addiction Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

The waiting is so hard If you are going to go the parts route I would buy what you can now, and get the arms when they are in stock again. By the time the arms are in stock something else you can get today could be out of stock. When I did my Shion I got everything but her feet, and when I found the feet on the Volks site months later I happened to notice they were out of thighs. Volks only seems to make what they are out of instead of making every part in one production run. For me I just shoved her shins into a pair of boots, and you never knew she had no feet. Granted hiding missing arms isn't going to be so easy, but for the time being you could put her in a long sleeved shirt, or drape a coat across her shoulders to make it less noticeable. N2DollsNow Posted February 25, 2016 Ok, this information isn't giving me a warm fuzzy feeling about my most recent impulse buy. My newly purchased custom DDH01 head is probably going to become my 1st MDD....if I can get a body for her. I haven't paid much attention to the MDD side of the DD experience, so now it looks like there'll be some unforseen challenges ahead. Clothing isn't an issue, we have two SDM resin girls to share with. Ah well, patience is a requirement for this hobby. I guess it will be put to use for this project sooner than expected. charlotte Posted March 15, 2016 It's rare to see an item that isn't sold out or has the "low stock warning" on it unless it has been stocked very very recently. Since i have not discovered any way to tell how long something has been out of stock, keep checking every 1 or 2 days and it'll be back in eventually.
