SisterKyoya Posted January 16, 2016 Here is the family pic from early December of everyone with a body. (If you don't see one of our DD here it's because they are a floating head right now.) Front row (left to right): Tamayuki (holding Dolly), Bree, Rainie, Ringo Middle row: Lucas, Ellie, Yukinohana (Hana), Naiomi, Gizella Back row: Ralph, Dakota, Sohi, Yuriko, Miku, Daisy Even when I took this I knew it was already out of date, because there IS someone who also has a body, but she needs a faceup, custom eyes, and clothes before she's finished. Plus Eiji should be arriving early next week, and a body arriving tomorrow... but that doesn't even put a dent in our floating head count. 8 plus 3 more in the mail soon (two are Obitsu), and the durn two Snow Miku arriving in June. Some days I seriously wonder that is wrong with me. But seeing those faces I just can't help myself. Not to mention the kiddos demanding (quietly or not) that they get their friends too doesn't simplify things any. (I'm looking at you Miku!) This was taken after I was done doing the pics for the Thanksgiving story that hasn't been posted yet (timeline issues) so there are more of this set. I'm so excited to have Gizella but her clothes don't show off well when she's sitting down. Another minor thing to point out is Bree's new yarn wig. There is still pink in it like her previous one but it isn't as prominent. I think the yarn wig suits her rather well and I'm not fighting with the extra weight to keep her up. She is also wearing Ralph's Smart Doll shirt. ~Sister Kyoya Forum Blog: Badger Pocket Tales (Family story from the beginning) | { Old Family story reboot: Start Here! } Follow me on Twitter, Flickr & Instagram
Monty Posted January 16, 2016 Such a cute family. I consider myself in the 'SK/Raven Family' fandom. I loooove Ellie's outfit here. ...hey, Dolly's wearing a shirt! *twitter*instagram*art*
SisterKyoya Posted January 16, 2016 Thank you! Ellie's outfit was just thrown together with things we had and her hat was made by Katnaper. LOL! Yes, Dolly has a few clothes more than just his ugly pants, including pajamas with monkeys on them. Poor Hana though, she looks completely out of place but I didn't have time to make her a dress that suits her. Seeing this pic makes me want really badly to work on the pics in the photo story that are missing so I can start to get the whole thing posted. I really miss sharing their stories but at the moment I'm struggling to keep myself from spilling some really interesting bits. Plus I just really miss spending time with my kiddos and seeing what they are up to. Much of the time like that is when I really get to find a lot out about them. I did a headcount today... and discovered that overall we have 28 third scale vinyl heads once everyone comes home. Out of that we will have 19 of them finished by June. Still, that's too many floating heads. (Even though two of them will be off-topic in the main forum since they are Obitsu sculpt, they are going to be SO fun to do photo stories of with their archnemeses.) I still can't figure out how to update my sig pic anymore... how to fit so many DD in such a tiny space?? ~Sister Kyoya Forum Blog: Badger Pocket Tales (Family story from the beginning) | { Old Family story reboot: Start Here! } Follow me on Twitter, Flickr & Instagram
baldylox Posted January 16, 2016 Wow! It's so ODD to see all of your little ones together at once! I recall times where you were swapping bodies left and right because you didn't have enuff to go around. Congrats on such a large and diverse family! It's great to see all of your group in a single photo. Now I have to get all of mine together for one shot. Billy I gave up counting the girls I own, they keep multiplying and won't stop. SisterKyoya Posted January 16, 2016 Funny you should mention MDD bodies... If I just had an extra set of MDD arms, I'd have a body that Nicholas could use. (Darn Volks! why did you have to be out of MDDIII arms??) I might eventually 'downsize' Nicholas to a 40cm Obitsu body, but still not sure. I kinda wanna do that to Bree as well, but her head is so darn big as it is. If I wasn't so exhausted I'd totally spamming pics for a photo story since Tama finally got his long-awaited body upgrade. I can't believe he can stand on his own again and he has tight hips so he can actually sit up anywhere now too! It has been ages since he could do that. The line under his bust piece is no longer there. Such a small detail but it makes me very happy! Pics like this where Tama is standing only work because Ringo was supporting him. I have a pic from Aug. 2012 that I took shortly after I discovered both of his ankles were broken, so my poor little prince hasn't really been able to be himself for a long time. I can't express how thrilled I am that he can be active again like he was the first 6 months he was here. And for the record, swapping bodies of the 45cm Obitsu are really a pain in the rear because of how their heads are attached. Rainie and Ringo both use the MDD busts so the Obitsu neck joint does not fit, making me additionally dread having to do it. Lack of bodies is why I never got around to doing Ringo's intro story that was supposed to take place the day after Naiomi's Halloween story back in November 2012. Early next week I'll be taking tons of photos again when Eiji gets here. I'm trying to comprehend what it will be like to have two of the Smart Doll boy bodies. I try and focus on that instead of obsessively worrying if there will be some minor, minor detail that will make it not possible to turn Eiji into the character I hope to. It might be the first chance I have to try out the right style and color of boy wig on Kiyoteru to see if the Smart Doll boy body is the right fit for him or if he will be a DD hybrid. As far as clothing goes, I keep counting my blessings that Lucas wants to wear the Smart Doll boy clothes so I don't have to have patterns just for him. I already feel like I have to do about a gazillion different sizes for some of the DD clothing, it's nice to have the bigger boys all able to wear the same things. It would be so funny/cool to see you do a group pic of your girls made from a set of closer shots (like a panorama) so we can see them better. Also that way each girl could be labeled for those of us who haven't kept up too well. (This is also why I use full names in my photo stories for the people who have never met our kiddos.) Man, I've so missed taking photos. All the more reason to get the web design finished. ~Sister Kyoya Forum Blog: Badger Pocket Tales (Family story from the beginning) | { Old Family story reboot: Start Here! } Follow me on Twitter, Flickr & Instagram
