AliceAlicaArisu Posted January 18, 2016 Hello there! I am very new to this hobby (and am without my first DD as of yet) but I decided to finally take the plunge and learn all I can to be able to have my own ^ - ^ I come from the world of resin BJDs and am a little nervous about dark/stain-causing clothing being the biggest enemy of the doll over here rather than the sun! haha At the moment I am saving for a DDH-07 DDdy but I know so little and my choice is bound to change as I discover many more things I'm sure! - Alice ^ - ^ 💗 Waiting on DDH-29 💗
ghirahim Posted January 18, 2016 Hi Alice, My name is Alice as well, welcome to the hobby! I've just started out myself and I'm quite nervous about staining as well. I hope everything goes well for you ^^
Eustia Posted January 18, 2016 Howdy. If you're already familiar with other dolls, it shouldn't be a huge jump for you to learn the ins and outs of DDs. Staining is fairly easy to manage, if you wash/treat the clothes so the dye doesn't leak, only make/buy lined clothes, or use body stockings. A mixture of all will definitely protect your girls from any unfortunate blemishes. The 07 is a lovely mature head, though it can be surprisingly youthful with the right faceup. It's a solid starting place. The Dy hips/thighs are fabulous, but I am really not a fan of their bust -- though my newest girl is a full Dy. I have two other Dy girls I replaced with standard L busts for a more natural shaped chest while maintaining the lovely waist. I hope you enjoy whatever you end up going with, either way! Ah that sounds good, you do make it sound less horrific! Yes, I think I've solidly decided to go with 07 but body-wise I'm still considering other options (perhaps with less bust haha) Thank you very much! I'm very excited to start this DD "journey" of sorts 💗 Waiting on DDH-29 💗
Amber Posted January 25, 2016 Welcome to the forums! Staining scares me quite a bit, even now, but I prefer light colors so it works out for me. I can't wait to see your first girl when you get her.
Hime-Sama Posted February 21, 2016 Hello and welcome! ^_^ I'm pretty scared of staining, myself, so I'm going to take care to wash and rinse clothing well before I put it on, and try to only get lined clothing as a precaution. I wish you the best of luck!
