Hello from Mendocino County

Hello! I've been in "The Hobby" since I got my first BJD in December, 2006 (an Obitsu Gretel). I never thought I would have more than one doll. Didn't realize it would become an obsession and that I would end up with 60+ BJDs of all sizes, companies, sculpts, etc.

The one thing I was never interested in for some reason were the anime-style dolls. Besides resins, I have a lot of the big Obitsus and love them. Then a friend of mine (Chris Howard, who is also on here) went to Tokyo and got a Smart Doll Mirai which he bought from Danny Choo himself at his store. I fell in love with her, and ended up ordering a Smart Doll Ebony. She is my very first anime-style doll and I am having a great time with her. Now I'm saving my pennies for a Smart Doll Eiji. I have a 65 Obitsu male whom I have just never bonded with and would love to reshell his character with Eiji. I also have a Seedring Male- which is a very rare doll (thank you K2! for finding him for me!).

Welcome to the forums! I don't have any Smart Dolls but they are really nice! I also never thought I would have more than 1 doll, and now I have 5. Not as many as you, though!

Hello and welcome! Smart dolls are so neat! Very similar to Dollfie Dreams and yet so different in ways. I can't wait to see the way they progress!
