Random pics of my girls! NEW PICS 11-17-18

I was digging thru my DD pics the other day and noticed I had a bunch of them I hadn't uploaded yet. No story or anything, just took some randoms of a few girls in different outfits and such. I'll add more pics later on but for now I have 3 girls photos to share.

 

First up is Minako. She was originally my second MDD girl and on a first issue MDD body. But she soon got upgraded to an Obitsu 40cm body. But after adopting Kaitlynn, I swapped out Minakos body for the VMF50 that came with Kaitlynn. This made Minako taller and gave her an older look that I really liked. She's still one of the smaller and younger girls but since she's Manami's little sister, she kind of needed a somewhat more mature body than what she had.

 

Going to that larger/taller VMF50 body did present a problem.... not enuff clothing to fit her properly. Thankfully, my wonderful friend Salica sent along this cute outfit, especially designed for the 50cm Azone girls. Minako tried it out and it fit her perfectly. Here she is modeling it for me.

Next up is Katerina. She normally likes to wear dresses and her maid uniform but lately, her sisters Sango and Elizabeth have been getting her to branch out a bit more with her style choices. I really like how she went for the casual look here but still kept it business-like with the tie.

You might think something else is different about Kat.... and you'd be right! Her hair is usually the light blue Mashiro wig from the Hakama set but she went with the default Mashiro wig this time around. I like how it looks on her but prefer the other one on her more.

I love her with her glasses but every so often she decides to not wear them. Which is good because she has gorgeous eyes and HUGE lashes.

Last but not least we have Nami, the matriarch of the Manami clan. That little family within a family consists of ( from oldest to youngest ) Nami, Manami, Mamimi and Minako. Both Nami and Manami came from the same person, DeadlyGambit. I adopted Manami over 5 years ago and then in August of 2014, DG gave me Nami as a birthday gift. She had made Nami about 3 months prior to Manami so she's actually the oldest doll I own. DG had originally made and given Nami to her mother but after a few years, Nami didn't get much attention. I had expressed interest in her before but never expected to receive her as a gift..... imagine my surprise when I got her! I was super happy to be able to reunite her with Manami.

 

Once she was mine, I had her faceup redone to better match my familys look and style and to also give her a more mature vibe since she WAS the oldest girl here. Eblktty did this for me and Nami is now perfect. She's the type character you see in anime where she's the older sister or friend of the family that always has their eyes looking like they're closed. They're quiet and reserved until things go bad or get hairy.... that's when the eyes open and all hell breaks loose. You do NOT want her to open those eyes up! It seems Manami has seen those eyes before and she's deathly afraid of it happening again. Nami is THE only girl in the family that Manami is complacent with and docile towards. Rei wishes SHE could get Manami to do that with her. LOL

The wig she has on is actually the one Manami used to wear. DG told me she always had the idea to put this wig on her but when Manami came along, it went to her instead. So as an homage to that idea, Nami now has the wig she was originally intended to have.

These pics of Nami were taken in my foyer because I got tired of using the same old backdrops I always do. I've got limited wall space here so in order to make things look different, I grabbed my camera tripod and sat her on top of it in front of my front door. I think it worked out quite well.

My favorite picture of Nami is DSC_5500! It looks so gentle and delicate. I think that's a really great shot.

Thank you very much! The closed eye girls are kind of rare and since Nami came to me with closed eyes, I kept her that way. You can buy the blank heads with the eyes shut so if you want a closed eye girl, its easy enuff. But like you said, you don't see very many of them so that's just another reason why I like name so much.

It's not really a huge thing, she *does* fit into quite a few of the MDD sets I own.... it's just that some of the MDD outfits she used to fit into don't fit her anymore and I REALLY liked how a few of them looked on her. I'll just have to figure something out for her in the future. Thanks about her outfit! I really like it too, Salica did a great job sending it down for her.

Thanks! I got them off Ebay for like $15, well worth it! I used to have some jeans like that back in the 90's when Pearl Jam and Nirvana were making that look popular.... LOL

Update time! It's been a long time since I did just random shots of my girls here without some sort of story to go along with them. So I dug up this old post and will use it to update with mostly photos I take of my girls on my cell phone.

And lastly we have Kino in my favorite Volks MDD set. It took me forever to finally find this outfit at a price that wasn't insane. Ever since I first saw it, I knew I needed it for Kino..... she's just too adorable in it! She's holding a plushie we found up near Asheville in a second hand store. It was dirty and smelled a bit so she named it "Smelly Cat". We washed it once we got home so he's nice and clean with no more stink but she won't change his name.

Heh, my friend Buff got herself an 03 head and made it into a boy! I went to visit her and brought along some of my MDD sized girls for her to see how those bodies looked compared to the Obitsu boy body he was on. The girls seemed to take an immediate liking to him!

You ordered a Santa Saber Alter right? I know how it is to wait for a Saber..... when I pre-ordered my Saber Extra, it took 9 months for her to get to me. That's the longest I've ever waiting for just about anything and it sucked!

Yup, Santa Alter, and she should be here late this month or into the next. Unlike Yaya, she will not sit in her box until Christmas. My wife failed to make the stipulation when she approved the purchase, so Saber comes out as soon as I get her. And I already found the Saber Alter 2nd outfit for her thanks to another forumite so she'll be able to go out for a night on the town with Miku in her Siren outfit and Yaya in her Sapphire Blue Party Dress.

 

If I knew the exact date she'd get here, I'd make one of those Christmas paper chains to count down the days.

I guess since I don't really have a spot to put these photos I took of my newer girls, this is as good a place as any.

Next is my Saber Alter. I've always liked the first versions default outfit better than the long dress of the second version. I have the second version so I went looking for the original outfit set. That thing is super hard to find for sale and when it does pop up, it ain't cheap. But I found this copy on "From-Sen" and bought it for about $50. It's really well made and has lots of nice detailing to it.

Really? I had that outfit on Akira for almost 2 months and she got no stains of any kind. The bracelets in my set are a very hard plastic so I have no idea how those could stain.

Kanna is my only 09 girl. She's SWS, one of only a few that I own. I wasn't a huge fan of the SWS coloring to begin with but now that I have Kanna, it's growing on me a lot more.

A friend of mine has an Excellen too and I really like how she looks. So when this one came up for sale, I jumped at the chance to get her. I had to put her on layaway in order to afford her but she was more than worth it.
