sera Posted January 24, 2016 Hi, I'm Sera (as the username suggests, haha...)! I recently, as in yesterday, got my first Dollfie Dream. She's a Mio Akiyama and I don't know whether I'm going to change her name or not, Mio really seems to fit her. I've been wanting a DD since I was young; which was middle school for me, since I'm only 18. I am, in general, very shy so I spent a whole night waffling over to make an intro post or not, but here I am! I come from Long Island, New York and Mio just braved the big storm here to get here yesterday thanks to EMS! She's my first ever BJD too. Words can't express how excited I am to finally be able to partake in this hobby. Like I said before, I'm very shy so I can't guarantee a lot of posts, but I hope to have a lot of fun with everyone here! That being said, my ultimate grail doll is Yuki Morikawa and I've been wanting her ever since I saw her. And also, I would be amiss to not mention how pretty Sasara is. Thank you! ^__^ I like K-On and have a couple of PVC figures from it, but mostly I just like her face-sculpt. Her expression is too cute, and the fact that I like Mio (even though I prefer Azusa if my arm was twisted, haha) made it a no-brainer when it came to buying her. Yes your right Sasara is very pretty!Her looks are around the same as Mio too, it's that 'o' style mouth everyone is crazy for haha. You might find Lucy or Manaka can make a good substitute for Sasara too. Yuki is a super pretty sculpt! I hope you can find her one day for sure >w< So what drew you to the DD hobby when you were younger? How did you discover them? I'm new to DDs too btw! I've been living on the east coast all my life so I'm kinda used to the winters! ^__^; And I hope so! I've lost interest in most PVC figures and now want to go full-force DD (and maybe eventually a Mirai Smart Doll too, but that's gonna be after I finally get Yuki and Sasara). I really hope I can find her too, she's been my grail doll ever since I laid eyes on her. I found out about Dollfie Dreams through Danny Choo, like a lot of other people I've seen. How I found his website...I don't recall! ^__^;; I have loved anime for most of my life though, and I probably found him through that. I spent a long while lurking figure.fm and seeing people with their DDs - I just had to have one. Then when I finally had the money and the chance to buy one of my favorite head sculpts, I went for it! Thank you, I really appreciate it!
