sherimi Posted January 25, 2016 My first photo thread here, sharing a photoshoot of my Susumi, who is also my first DD I already took the photos on New Year's Day, but sometimes I'm a bit lazy with editing photos and it takes some time before I finally do it ^^; It's currently winter here and there's snow everywhere, but this girl is clearly hoping for spring to come, some warmth and flowers~ Thank you for watching ^^
Cauldroness Posted January 25, 2016 What a sweet-looking Mariko! I really love how you've styled her -- great wig and eye choices that really bring out the sweetness of her face. Doll Photos & Doll Jewelry Sales: Follow me on Instagram!
Poofiemus Posted January 25, 2016 She's so adorable! And these are very good photos. What has me squeeing the most, though, is that flower circlet on her head. Just. .. EEEEEE so damn cute I'm gonna explode. (Also, I find it ridiculously appropriate that Beethoven's Pastoral Symphony came up on my iPod's shuffle when I clicked into this thread.) Amber Posted January 25, 2016 You take beautiful photos, I just have to say. Mariko is probably my favorite sculpt out of all of the Volks original characters. I have a Mariko myself and when I first got her, I couldn't believe how adorable she was. I really like your Susumi's style, the two tone wig is really cute! Her eyes are beautiful and go really well with her outfit and floral headband.

Thank you so much! ♥ I bought these eyes for her before her arrival, not realizing that a rounder shape of iris (like in the default eyes) might've been a better choice, but after trying these I fell in love even more - now expression is just the way I like it ^w^ She's so adorable! Thank you~ The flower circlet is actually made by my partner, she's really good at making all kinds of accessories for our dolls :3 Hahah I could easily imagine Susumi listening to classical music, I think her favorites might be from ballets like The Nutcracker and Swan Lake! Oh thank you, that is lovely to hear Mariko is my favorite DD sculpt too and now that I have her I'm not surprised why so many people love the sculpt so much~ I still can't believe how lucky I was to win her in the lottery last year! I personally love two toned wigs a lot, I wish there were more of those available I have a few other wigs for Susumi to use too, but I guess this is the "default" wig for her character~ I've been trying to have her wear only mori girl style clothes and earth colors, but it's like she has a mind of her own and somehow she ends up in sweet pastel colors every now and then X'D Your photos are lovely, and your mariko is super sweet looking. Hope to we see some more of her! Aww thank you ^3^ I'm sure I'll be sharing more photos of her in the future~

Well, your partner did an excellent job with it, and this is definitely the perfect one for Susumi. Ah, so a Tchaikovsky fan then! =P He's an excellent choice, and I can see his work being very her. I can't see her being into Stravinsky though, even though he also wrote several ballets. In this household, sanity is considered a tresspasser.
