Snow Miku project 2016 + preorder Fluffy coat outfit

I paid by credit card and I'm very sure I wasn't charged right away. Usually when I'm charged right away by Volks, I get taken to a screen where I have to input a password for my card. That didn't happen this time.

 

That screen is likely for taking down our credit card information now, so when the outfit is ready to be shipped, it can be charged right away.

So I'm a bit confused at the moment, I just tried to pre order the snow miku outfit set and it's put it through as a sale, payment taken and all.

 

What's going on, does anyone know?????

 

ok, something similar has happened to me

On my credit-card website it looks like "payment pending" BUT in reality it's only a temp placement held for a few days, which will then be gone (they won't take any of your money)

 

... and then months later Volks takes the money legit

 

soo, no need to panic, just check your account in a few days to confirm the charges pending are gone

I edited my post above, but I paid by paypal, so I wonder if it's the same?

 

I also wanna say in my volks account is shows up as "paypal" and "order" for the coat set, shouldn't it be "pre order" :/ ? When I click on the link provided it shoes up with all my details, including shipping and handling fee.

worst case scenario is that they indeed have taken my money, but at least its paid for and I don't have to worry about it later on

Mine shows up as "order" as well, only with credit card listed instead of paypal.

You can always email Volks and ask them if they did take the money upfront.

 

Edit: I got an email from Volks saying they have charged my credit card. They are taking payments upfront.

Confirming what minty wrote, I recieved a reply from volks saying my order has been confirmed so yeah, they're taking upfront payments.

I won as well, she will be my first DD. I have been holding out for years, but the time has finally come.

Her outfit isn't too bad actually. All you have to look out for is the headphones, the clips on her arm warmers, and the zipper inside her boots. The first two can get a clear coat of nail polish and then they're safe. For the boots I use a random pair of safe socks. underneath.

No, they will ship in Summer, but you have to pay them now. That's usually how it goes for pre order things other than lottery items which you pay if you win.

 

But yeah you give them money now and in the Summer they will ship it to you. Most of the time if you go through the payment process you can expect to be charged. Otherwise if companies only did pre orders through means of hitting a check box like "I want this" then people would back out and they'd be stuck with a bunch of left over and workers that worked too hard for essentially nothing. If that makes sense.

 

That method leans more towards a "reservation". Whereas "pre-order" is just that, an order that you pay for and won't get until later.

I noticed this too, arghh! Luckily I had enough money in my savings to transfer over. I'm glad I ordered the outfit set though, it looks adorable and I will have something for Snow Miku to change into on occations.

I've never been charged up front for a preorder doll from international. I've never ordered an outfit that way though, maybe it's different.

 

Getting stiffed on orders is why volks has that whole "banned if you don't pay" thing in place I feel...

Thinking about it, I pre-ordered Miku's Do-Re-Mi-Fa Rondo outfit and I didn't get charged up front for that. I guess they are changing their policy?

Got a shipping notice on my Hatsune Miku lottery win today, so it looks like they are starting to ship them.
