Hey guys I just got my Dollfie Dream Rin in and her shirt doesn't fit right also her coat is very tight you can barely bend her arms I'm just wondering if anybody else has got their Dollfie Dream in yet and if they're having the same issue. I have attached some pictures of the issue.https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9u9_l1xANcUOFE2ekkydkh2eHM/view?usp=docslist_api ,https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9u9_l1xANcUVUNsczR2d1FMRTg/view?usp=docslist_api ,https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9u9_l1xANcUam0zVXhGNkx5aEU/view?usp=docslist_api

I got my Rin today and had some issues getting the clothes on as well. I very carefully bent the arms in the right directions to get them to fit through the sleeves, and took the hands out to put the shirt on.

I had similar issues with the shirt. It should come a little closer together if you pull it up her arms further.

I think I may have to contact volks =(

@Missadventure I did have her hands off to get the shirt on and I did tug and wiggle it alot remembering that Rise's uniform top had the same problem but nothing seems to be getting it close enough, especially when you cross her arms =/ the jacket is the same and doesnt allow her arm to bend more than a little bit I have to wonder if thats normal...

I found her shirt to be tight, and the jacket is also tight. The shirt is very form fitting so it is going to constrict her movement to some degree.

It was pretty hard to get the top snaps done up, but they it definitely didn't have a big gap like that with her arms at her sides. I haven't tried to bend her arms in front of her like that, so I can't say if she wouldn't have the same issue if I did. You might try spreading her arms out so she is shaped like a T and see if you can adjust the shirt to fit better. (Assuming of course you haven't tried that.)

It's a bit late to mess around with it, but I will take a look at her tomorrow and see if mine is just as constricted in her movements.

The difference between Dollfie Dreams and Heroin? Heroin is illegal, Dollfie Dreams probably should be.

If you could check that would be very helpful! I am planning to email Volks when I get home from work just in case there is a 'time frame' for reporting issues with your dolly!

Ok definitely not anywhere near the same degree of separation on the back closure.

These three images are with her coolcats body suit on under the shirt. It adds a bit of bulk in the back where the zipper is, and under the arms.

Sorry the photos are kind of crappy. I just shot this with on camera flash in program mode.

This is without the body suit. As you can see that extra layer of material really messes up the fit.

Hopefully this helps.

I have found it's necessary to do a lot of adjusting to get the sleeves to fit properly when I put it on. It's tight enough that I have to twist it around her arm to straighten it out whenever I make big changes to the arm positions.

This may be me stating the obvious here, but I would also check to make sure her arms are fully inserted, and that the shoulder part of her torso frame isn't positioned in some wonky way. It's possible the clothing was just stitched improperly or the material was cut improperly. In the former case if Volks won't fix it you might see if any of the tailors on the forum can do anything with it.

She's a beautiful doll full of potential. I'd be unhappy if her Fate outfit was messed up, but I sincerely hope this problem doesn't ruin her for you.

Yea I have tried alot of fiddling and adjusting and I just cannot get that back closure to stay closed! I checked her torso but it wasn't that either and her arms have been inserted fully, I think it has to be something with Volks manufacturing and I hope they are willing to fix it she IS an expensive doll and having her default outfit not fitting properly is a huge disappointment, I got her to go with my Saber and if she can't wear her default its just really messed up

Ok here are some images of the shirt with her knife included for scale. I'm not a tailor so I am guessing as to what the best way to show off the various dimensions of a garment for fit.

Maybe these will show you where the problem is. I would think it has to be bad stitching and/or one of the panels is cut incorrectly. Again not a tailor so I could be missing something.

I don't know this for certain, but I have heard the Volks "warranty" is very short (as in days) so I would get a hold of them ASAP.

These don't really convey the bust dimensions of the shirt well. There is a seam along the side of the bust under the arm on each side of the shirt. I would think that if that area is sewn or sized incorrectly it would cause big problems for the fit. With her shirt on the seam lines on both sides should be symmetrical.

I don't know if you've talked to Volks or had any other issues/resolutions so far but I thought I'd give you an update on what I've seen.

I took off Rin's jacket and shirt yesterday to put a body suit on underneath *took forever to get here!* and I was extremely disappointed to find that one of the buttons on Rin's sleeve had already fallen off underneath the jacket. Of course it's an easy enough fix, but this leads me to believe that the shirt is lower quality than it should be.

That being said, when putting the shirt back on her I noticed that this time the shirt did come all of the way closed when buttoning. I believe it just needed time to stretch out and conform to the body a little better. Perhaps by now if you left the shirt on you could try pulling it tighter and re-buttoning and yours will have done the same?

No I haven't heard ANYTHING back from Volks I sent more than one message but nothing =( I left the outfit off since if they answered and asked I wanted to be able to say it was only put on her once..but I am going to assume if Volks is ignoring my messages the warrently is over by now so I will try what you said and then I guess if it comes down to it I could sell the outfit and commission someone to make a proper one or do so myself...

A few others have reported stitching issues with her outfit, and one person mentioned theirs just needed a simple fix. You might check to see if one of the people who do tailoring on the forum can fix it. You'd undoubtedly have to send it to them before they could give an answer, but it would probably be cheaper than having a custom made.

I'd also note her school uniform looks better than the default. It's probably not as iconic within her character concept, but it is the better of the two.

The problem is likely that the inner white lining is pulling against the outer red stuff. Because the two aren't stitched together, when you pull the red outer layer up her arms the inner white layer can get stuck further down the arms. If this happens you won't be able to close up the buttons, just like your photos. I had to spend some time to carefully make sure I was pull the white lining along while I was putting on her shirt. I actually had to take it off and start over again because of that problem.

That makes perfect sense of why the outfit fit my Rin so poorly with a body stocking underneath it. The friction from the stocking was making that effect worse.
