NEW 1/6 Obitsu/parabox doll. (WIP 2016?)

So i spotted this earlier today on my Facebook news feed so thought i would share with you guys.

 

this from what read is the new 1/6 Obitsu / parabox doll that is being made this year. she has the same joints as the 50cm's to my knowledge and will be vinyl bodied like are 1/3 body's from head to toe unlike the current 1/6 dolls.

 

i really look foreword to seeing more on this doll and will keep a look out for more info.

This body was also displayed at Wonfes! I'm happy that obitsu is revamping their 1/6 line! They look very much like Pure Neemo bodies now, but I like it. It's a lot more natural now. ^^ I can't read everything on the poster but the gist is that obitsu is getting back into the 1/6 scale game with a whole new body. I'm confused by the release date on the poster though. It says it's planned for a release at the start of 2016?? I'm under the impression that it's still a work in progress..

I hope that they did the joints in white and the rest in natural skintone to show the difference, and that it's not actually like that. xD;;;; I also wonder what size this body is. Going by the proportions it looks like it may be closer to 25cm obitsus & Pure Neemo M....

 

Going through the bullet points on the blog post:

- These bodies are SBH bodies, so the bust and chest are softer vinyl, and the rest will be hard.

- She comes with gripping(and fist?) hands. There will be more option hands available.

- It won't come with a head included.

- The elbows and knees can bend by about 150 degrees. They focused on making the body more beautiful this time and unfortunately she won't be able to sit in the seiza position.

- In whitey and natural skintone. They aren't planning to release them in tan/brown. :c

- There will be magnets in their feet of course because they're obitsus. xD

 

On this post it mentions that they'll work hard to make a presale at the summer Wonfes possible..

As far as the release date, having waited and waited and waited in the past for new Parabox/Obitsu releases, not surprised that it hasn't come out yet.

Does anyone remember the Volks Who's That Girl bodies (or whatever they were officially named). These look really similar! Not, like, a copy but that same delicate, elegant feel for the 1/6 body with the ball joints. I just hope they don't pop apart like they did on the WTG bodies... hands were constantly falling off!

This body looks quite beautiful. I'm curious about the posing so I hope they release some pictures of this. But so far, I am really liking what I'm seeing.

I love pure neemos aesthetics, but obitsu seemed to have the better posing. However I always found the 1/6 obitsu bodies so damn ugly that i was willing to sacrifice some poseability for looks when it came to my 1/6 customs.

But this body looks great! Depending on what sizes are available I might even upgrade all my neemo kids so they can pose better...unless Azone step up their game (they did recently release a new picco neemo body that's far more poseable than any of their 1/6 bodies, so maybe!)

 

What excites me is the possibility of male bodies like this. It always frustrates me that Azone still only have xs sized male bodies...the new England pure neemo apparently has an S sized male body, they just havent announced any plans to sell it separately...

 

Weirdly enough I dont remember seeing this at wonfest this year and i was there. But I do remember seeing a photo of this at a past wonfest - just not in colour yet. I hope it's not just stuck in limbo.

Cool l would so be buying this.

Nice! They're apparently having some trouble with the soft vinyl parts (which I assume is the chest piece, hands and feet) and the joints fitting properly, but they're doing their best to do presales at Wonfest next month. (Obitsu have a little popup store at wonfest).

That's exciting! I really wanna see people sticking Azone heads on it to see how well it matches. I told myself no more custom obitsus but this could be hard to resist.

They're saying it's a 'preview version' as there are still some things about it that arent quite complete (dont know what though) but they're gonna...sell it anyway?

It sounds like they're selling this 'preview' version at Wonfes only, and the normal retail version is still a little ways off.

It looks so damn good though! Even if I dont upgrade all my neemos with it, I'll definitely get it for my poor custom Adelaide who's still stuck on the barely moveable old S body - she's got an obitsu head anyway.

I made a tiny scream when I saw this haha! I'm so excited, the new body looks AMAZING. Interesting how the M size is ~23cm. I'd like to see what height range the complete versions will be. A bit taller(for once with me xD) would be nice too!

It's hard to tell if it's lighting or a new skin tone. I do remember when Yamato first introduced their tan VMF50 body. A number of the first pre-release pictures showed tan vinyls but still had the white skin knee joints. In the current Obitsu blog picture there is a small difference in the color of the knees and the surrounding vinyls, but it could be explained as just normal vinyl batch variations.

I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Cuuuuuute! The more I see, the more I want one of these. They just look so...sleek! I like this body's design a lot.

This body IS looking really cute. o.o I've been toying with the idea of trying to sculpt a 1/6 head--for science--and this body is looking like really good bait. (We'll see if I ever get around to it, but I can dream, okay? )

Waaaah those knee joint! I hope they will adapt that system on their 1/3 / 1/4 line as well.

I'm absolutely thrilled about this! I can't wait for their release

The body looks gorgeous and 2400Yen is not more expensve then the older ones. Hope the will make a more female one like the 27er too.

I wonder when this body will be available for general release? I know they had a batch for sale at last Wonfest, but does this mean it'll be limited to events only for the unforeseeable future? :C
