Poofiemus Posted March 4, 2016 That's definitely a mix of pieces from different outfits--that brown underbust corset is without a doubt from the "Smooth Lamp Black" set. In this household, sanity is considered a tresspasser.

Galvatim Posted March 10, 2016 It's an interesting outfit, but I think it's going for auction. Using Google Translate, there's mention of "Angel's Dept Treasure Auction" and a warning that "And since they are already in use the old cloth there is the case that there is a stain and dirt in part of the fabric. Please acknowledge your understanding." I could be wrong, but it looks like a kitbashed one off auction outfit. I know those socks are from another outfit, I have them. foo Posted March 10, 2016 Ya, they often do one-off ensembles at Dolpas.
foo Posted March 13, 2016 I posted some notes about the stuff I saw at the Dolpa today. Kind of disappointed about the katanas >_>
Beani Posted March 21, 2016 Hoping to get one of the Samurai outfits and Geta at the After Event but can't decide whether to go to Harajuku or Akiba. I've only ever gone to one physical afterevent where we were snagging Shinon so we went quite early but some outfits were still gone before we got in. Anyone whose been to the physical After Parties got any hints on which store is better and/or what time is best to arrive?
foo Posted March 21, 2016 Hoping to get one of the Samurai outfits and Geta at the After Event The geta are for SD high-heeled feet, and won't fit a DD properly. Here's a couple examples of them on a DD, the version from 2 years ago (same, just different colors), They won't be able to stand with them properly and they fit kind of weird. I saw them at the Dolpa and, since I have Yaya's and know what they're like, decided to pass on them. but can't decide whether to go to Harajuku or Akiba. I went to the Akiba one last year. It doesn't matter when you line up because they draw a random number and split the line, and then that determines the start of the line. If you happened to line up after the split in the line, then you get in before the people before the split. So you have to be lucky. As for when to line up, er, maybe at latest a half hour before the cutoff time? The only problem with Akiba is climbing up several flights of stairs at 9 am in the morning (#)

The only problem with Akiba is climbing up several flights of stairs at 9 am in the morning (#) I know the Geta aren't ideal for DD feet but honestly they look good enough to me and are a huge improvement on the flatter geta I bought from Taobao. They fit even worse. I thought they announced they weren't doing the split line lotteries any more? They did it the time we went for Sinon but I remember they did announce changing the system soon after. I'm worried to show up only half an hour before if they have actually changed things. The site seems to suggest first come first served now. Akiba has lots of stairs but at Harajuku you can be stuck out in the elements for ages. I'm more interested in stock levels mainly though, Harajuku seemed to keep more of the items longer but then I was there for a very unpopular set of item releases whereas the time I was at Akiba the items were super popular. I think we ended up around 80th (out of 200 or so I think?) in line and the Fairy sets were all already gone by the time we got in and I got the second last Kimono set I wanted. How'd you find the stock levels in Akiba in the past?
foo Posted March 21, 2016 I thought they announced they weren't doing the split line lotteries any more? You'll have to read the Japanese on this page to find out the details, http://www.volks.co.jp/htd_kyoto13/afterevent/#strAnn For Akiba it looks like it's first come first served, for Harajuku it looks like it's lottery. TBH you may have better luck at Harajuku then. When I went to Akiba, I was like 4th to get into the store, so all I can really say is they had a lot of stock The way they do it there is that you take a ticket for the item you want and bring it to the cash register. The tickets were the kind that you peel off of a pack like sticky notes, and they were pretty thick.

It's actually closer to me too, I just prefer the Dollpoint location in general. I'll have to make sure I don't want any of the DD specific items I guess. Thanks for showing how awful the swords were btw, saved me some cash.

SakuraSylph Posted March 21, 2016 Anyone whose been to the physical After Parties got any hints on which store is better and/or what time is best to arrive? It won't be opened back up yet for this Kyoto AE, so think of this as a suggestion for the future but.. I had a lot of luck at the Tachikawa location, which is in the Chubu FROM building right outside the train station. This was a great store for getting clothes, accessories, or SD dolls at After Events. There was a good balance between stock and number of customers. Tachikawa is about 25 minutes from Shinjuku station directly on the Chuo line, in case you don't happen to know the city. The entry lottery at Tachikawa was simply pulling a number out of a box to determine order in line. Now that the DD and SD lotteries are different (no sales/pickup directly at the AE), it would be interesting to see what mix of customers goes to the store, to see if it's as good as it used to be for clothing items. (the Tachikawa store had to close in March 2015 because the Chubu FROM building went under earthquake renovation. It is due to reopen any week now, a year later.) Merlle88 Posted May 12, 2016 Hi, Any chance some of these outfits will be available at Volks USA? - Instagram - MyFigureCollection -
BeyondTime Posted May 14, 2016 It looks like they will be sold by lottery with entries starting on 5/20/16. http://volksusastore.com/webstores/event/index.php?dispatch=categories.view&category_id=1046 And I am so entering for some Samurai goodness. The difference between Dollfie Dreams and Heroin? Heroin is illegal, Dollfie Dreams probably should be. “Empty wallets, full hearts.” That’s probably an apt description for the effects of DD addiction
sklurk Posted May 16, 2016 so it's something in the garter straps. and just the ends of them, not the straps themselves. matching marks on the front of the thighs as well where the front straps are. There don't seem to be any other marks from the fishnets on her arms No marks on her shins or calves where I had them wrapped tightly to fit tighter into her boots, and no marks on her feet, so looks like it's all coming from the elastic in the garters or maybe the thread used in them.
