Would like to inquire if any part of this set stains?

 

I got both White tiger and this dress set, can't wait to have my girls to be badass haha!

I haven't had it on her long so hard to say. I think the socks are definitely a risk so I have a stocking under them. The black tube top I'm also not trying to be safe. Most of the outfit is lined but as is usual with Volks they have weird black or red threads in some of the lining so I guess I'll see what happens. I had to use a bit of tape on the collar as it had one unlined part. I was concerned about the black trim on the top and skirt but on my DDIII body they sit well above the skin so the fact they aren't lined doesn't appear to matter.

I wasn't planning to get anything this time... but the mint blue corset dress was still in stock so I snagged one ^_^

And yup, Paypal is the only payment option now. The fee isn't terrible for a small order but for fullset dolls it's gonna sting! Is this a violation of PP terms, to charge an extra fee?

Did anyone paying with a credit card through Paypal remember if they were able to select an option to use your card's exchange rate instead of PP? Looking at my pending transaction of $153.04 for 16,691yen order for Sheryl's military uniform it seems the PP rate (1usd/109yen) was used. My CC would've been at least 1usd/111yen so I would've saved a few bucks. I remember with past foreign purchases I was able to have my CC do the conversion.

 

With the additional fee & the lesser exchange rate I really hope PP isn't the only option left to buy through Volks Japan. The only reason I can think of that they're doing this is so they don't have to deal with another CC processor & dealing customer service issues with CC's not working.

I couldn't find the option when I combed through the paypal site. I was wondering about the same thing about who does the currency exchange (Paypal vs CC). Paypal may have removed the option to pick, so they make more profit.

if your CC does not charge a foreign transaction fee, its possible that its cheaper to let your CC do the conversion.

 

if your card company DOES charge a fee, it may be cheaper to let paypal do the conversion, the exchange rates between the 2 will be different.

 

It's also hard to say what is cheaper because both change their rates daily according to market rates. Your CC (for those who don't know) will not give you the market rate, they give you less than market rate and also keep the difference. The bank will do that too. PP might charge less because so much foreign currency goes through them they might not actually be exchanging it like a bank would... but rest assured.. they're still making money on the transaction exchange rate.

in your account online in the top right, click the gear icon > Payments > Preapproved Payments > Set Available Funding Sources > Conversion Options

 

I don't know if it works since preapproved payments I thought was a reoccurring PP billing option but they do let you choose not to use their exchange rate there.

 

If in the US I would recommend Capital One since it doesn't have an foreign transaction fee & the exchange rate usually closely mirrors the rate I find on google & is always better then PP.
