Smart doll customs megathread!

Here is my Smart Doll Miari with Blue Rose Garden eyes and a Crobidoll wig

Lovely picture! I'm wondering what sized Crobi wig you got for mirai?

Since I'm working on putting all my faceup pics in the 'Painting & Customizaton' section I thought I'd dump some pics here too (after I realized I'd be grouched at by posting Smart Doll heads in there. Stupid rules.) Anyhoo...

 

 

Took a pic of Eiji's head after the mods I've done to make my own Kyoya Ootori. SO much stress has gone into him so far with me being terrified at every turn that I've ruined him. Either tonight or tomorrow I'll start on his faceup. I've never been so nervous to make a custom doll before. That's saying something from how many I've already done! I wish his nose could have been a little longer, but that's the price of having to start with a finished head sculpt. He will eventually have custom eyes and a black wig since for me Eiji's dark brown one was just not close enough. Besides, Kiyoteru Sensei took it and has no inclanation to give it back.

 

The eyes have obviously been modded, as well as the end of the nose, but the upper lip has as changed quite a bit but it's much more noticable from the side.

 

 

And then my Dev Eiji became Madison (no mods.) He's one of those guys who is a sexy beast and he knows it, but once he opens his mouth it's hard to ignore how much of a douchebag he is. What can I say? Every story needs a villian, and he's been nominated. He only has himself to blame. It's strange having a Smart Doll who I'm happy to keep his head in a box. I'm not sure yet how I'd deal with him if he had a permanant body. He causes more than his fair share of chaos when he is let out of his cell.

 

I'll post more pics of Kyoya as things progress. (I hope it's okay to post unfinished heads in here. I was at a loss as to where to put them where hopefully someone else would share my excitement.)

This makes me want a blank tea-girl again... (as cute as I think Ebony is, I do think I'd get a new faceup for her so it would be better to get a blank one, if only Danny would sell them with opened eyes)

I know SmDs are relatively new in the dolly world so I haven't seen as many customs of them yet as, say, BJDs, DDs, Blythe etc. I really like seeing what faceup artists do with the sculpt.

It's Kizuna in a custom wig. I think she looks amazing in that colour!

This is my Panchita (Ebony) with her custom hair, eyes, and clothes. All she needs is her custom face up. But I think she looks great

Thanks! I was kind of amazed at how she just came together the instant I got her. I already had everything but the wings and she very quickly developed herself and subsequently she solidified my plans for several future girls. Needless to say I'm glad I impulse bought her after seeing other Chitoses in person.

 

Also I forgot Ted. Whoops.

 

 

A lot of the best shots I got of him were with Celia so excuse her being there. He's technically not done since I'm hoping to maybe find some smaller eyes in a nice style, and once I get his sister's head I'm gonna send them in for custom faceups.

EDIT TO ADD: Nevermind, it would be cool to see but I'd hardly ever take him out because he'd creep me out too much knowing his character and the other girls would be scared! haha/not-jk

Does anyone have pictures of the Eiji head mold as a girl?

The closest I've seen are some of the androgynously styled customs upthread. I'll keep a lookout, though, and post any that I find here.

Were you looking for a full refaceup or just a feminine wig and girl's body?

Either really. It just occurred to me that Eiji head might make a nice mature female.

Torino's post of toraneko_doll's Twilight custom is fabulous! It's good to see that the eye part of that faceup can be pulled off so well in that style (I have plans).

Oh, if the minimum is new eyes and wig...

 

My Tea Skin Mirai, with apparently custom eyes of unknown origin plus a secondhand ForU silver wig. This wig was supposed to be for a Cocoa Chitose, but I kinda splurged on reshelling Mirai from Milk to Tea Skin and I'm planning for several cons and a trip to Japan, sooooo it won't get any use for a while.

 

I've got her original body too, but that's got the base wig and eyes so she doesn't count for here.
