SQLabs is ignoring me after I ordered..

I wanted a head/faceup that wasnt listed for sale but was in their gallery, I emailed them about it and they said they will make it for me, will be about 2 weeks. I pay them on January 20.

 

I email to check on it 2 weeks later and they say they will be sending it out next monday (Feb 8th) and they will send a tracking number soon.

 

I dont email them until another week after that, never got a tracking number. Asked if they could send it, they dont reply. I sent them an email every 3-4 days after that and still no response, so its been over a month that I paid them $240 and I have no tracking number or even a 'sorry were running late' I just want to know whats going on with it.

 

 

Anyone ever have a problem like this? Starting to get pissed

Where are they located? A lot of countries are celebrating Lunar New Year. Depending on where they are, they could technically be celebrating it for the entire month of February, or so I have heard.

 

I do think it's odd they told you they were sending it on the 8th and didn't, though.

 

Did you pay them on PayPal? If so, you could open up a dispute. Maybe that would get their attention to reply to you faster.

I dont even know where they are, Japan or China? Doesnt say on their website. I am hoping it's just something like that but it's pretty unprofessional regardless. I guess I am used to the excellent customer service from Danny Choo.

 

I dont want to do anything like start a paypal dispute cause I really want this head it's pretty unique and I dont want them to just get mad and refund my money. I guess I will wait another week

I just wanted to update that I FINALLY got my head on Friday 3/4 and it is gorgeous.

 

They do some good work but god damn dont do a custom order unless you want to wait 2 months...

I've been really wanting to get a doll there. Do you think it's worth the wait? I tried emailing them Monday and have yet to hear from them. I want one of their preorder doll's but can't figure out if they are selling them or not? Do you have pictures of your doll? :3

Well their lack of communication is frustrating but they put out some unique and expertly crafted products so I guess its something you just have to deal with. I think if possible I would find their stuff on yahoo auctions and buy from there since you know it would ship fast.

 

I really am totally in love with my girls face from there and now that I have it I wouldnt trade it for anything. So id say its worth it just be prepared to wait quite a while if you order direct from them.

One more question! lol. Would you buy Chitose or go through the ordering process with SQ Labs if you really wanted a doll they had? I cannot make up my mind. ^^;; I have Kizuna right now but I was thinking maybe I need more variety. Dunno. lol

I love both Smart Doll & DD, Mirai was my first doll and she will always be special to me but theres something about when you have a custom doll in your head and you finally make it real. My Shia isnt even really done yet, still waiting on her wig/ears/tail but I lovvvve her lol.

 

If it was your first doll I would say go smart doll, they have great service and fast shipping. For your 2nd one if you really like one of the SQlab heads I think its pretty worth it. I would definitely look into Yahoo Auctions if you type in "SQ-lab" you will see all their heads on there and the prices arent bad at all. Ill tell you I spent $270 on my head/eyes/faceup from them. So anything less than that on YA is a deal
