Kumi Posted October 30, 2011 (edited) Yesterday we had a doll meet in Opole and I brought my 3 girls with me. Meet was populated mostly with "resins" so Aerie and Kaoru were the only DDs there. But on our forum we know about only 6 DDs, so it was 33% of the known Polish DD population. Therefore they drew a lot of attention and dispelled some myths about them. Mostly the one about being "big" in certain regions One of our Polish forum members, Venecja, is a talented seamstress. She sew the white dress for Undine (then Aerie wore it for a while). At some point Venecja had an idea to change the style of my girls. And she changed them into her ball dresses. Kaoru also borrowed some other style wigs. They both looked wonderful, like some princesses or faeries... Below some photos - enjoy They're very well made, but for slightly bigger SD bjd girls, so for DD it was a tiny bit too long and too wide. Maybe in the future I'll commission such dress for my girls. Venecja has own webshop too - http://www.etsy.com/shop/venecja Edited November 3, 2011 by Guest
scripple Posted October 30, 2011 They look very nice, I especially like that blue one. A good tailor could shorten it up no problem. Better too long than too short. Check out my new DollFun website. baldylox Posted October 31, 2011 Both your girls and their dresses look good but I really like Airy's look with the blue dress. She is just beautiful! That's cool that people were interested in your girls. I love it when people see a DD for the first time. It's fun to teach them whats true and untrue about the DD girls. I hope you see more in the future! Billy I gave up counting the girls I own, they keep multiplying and won't stop.

mitsuki Posted November 1, 2011 They both look so lovely! We had a ball here for the medical school. I don't know anyone who went to it. I think we all would have gone if your girls were going to be there.
Meep Posted November 2, 2011 What's the model name of the girl in the blue dress? She's completely precious.
Kumi Posted November 2, 2011 Thank You, friends. The meet was fun and I'm glad I joined. At least I have some good photos and good memories. Some people could see DDs for the first time and many said, that "in person" they're much more charming What's the model name of the girl in the blue dress? She's completely precious. It's Airy, hidden gem of Volks DDs But I prefer calling her Aerie.
Galvatim Posted November 2, 2011 Nice! They look lovely in their dresses! Aerie really is one of Volks' hidden gems!
archangeli Posted November 2, 2011 Oooh I love Venecja's dresses - I've seen her stuff on etsy but wasn't sure if they'd fit DD's They look gorgeous on your girls! I call her Aerie too - and I completely agree that she doesn't get the credit she deserves. She's a lovely girl. chun Posted November 3, 2011 those dress are wonderful on your lovely girls XD That material is so hard to handle
Kumi Posted November 7, 2011 Thanks again. Yes, Aerie is a lovely girl, but IMO her default character doesn't let her show it. Seriously, a nun? But I have to say, that SQ characters are lovely, too. And have own personalities. Kaoru, compared to Aerie, looks younger and more like a prankster
DefectiveAngel Posted November 7, 2011 They both look gorgeous! But I have to say I really love Aerie's dress the most. That light blue goes perfectly with her eyes. She really shined and looked so stunning in these pictures.

OtakuDepot Posted November 22, 2011 Such beauties! They all look lovely. I agree with you about Airy (Aerie), she is very special and I'm still in love with her kitty mouth! **James.
