MarQ Posted March 19, 2016 So I will back to Japan this year in October. Does someone know if there will be a Dolls Party at that time of year somewhere (Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya or Kyoto)?
SakuraSylph Posted March 19, 2016 Dolpa is unlikely at that time, sorry. The usual dolpa months are March, May, August, and December. October will have the DD Gathering 2-3 day event at Dollpoint Akihabara one weekend. It is not as big as dolpa, but there are some speakers and games, and usually exclusive merch to the event. More details will be announced in Volks News and online when it gets closer to time. SakuraSylph
Poofiemus Posted March 19, 2016 Isn't there a Doll Show around that time too? It's not a Volks event, so there'd be a wider variety of dolls present, but from what I can tell it's a good place to pick up outfits, props, etc. In this household, sanity is considered a tresspasser. MarQ Posted March 24, 2016 I hope that the DDGathering this year will be on October, 8. My last stay was in 2014 and while looking at new steetview pics I just found out that so much has changed in Akihabara. I'm looking so forward to explore all the new shops. I'm alittle sad that the Volks shops in Ikibukuro and Shinjuko (Studio Alta) are closed now. The Shinjuko shop had so nice stuff, I wonder if they are now working in the Akihabara DollPoint. foo Posted March 25, 2016 The next Dolpas are at May 5th at Big Sight (Dolpa/Hobby Round joint festival), and August 7th, Nagoya 6. That info comes from here, http://www.volks.co.jp/jp/dolpa_portal/index.html/ I don't know if anything's been announced beyond that.
