First faceup ever process: Kaori Miyazono

So I got this pair of eyes thinking I would use them for one of my girls, but they didn't end up working out for her. HOWEVER after watching the heart wrenching "Your Lie in April" anime, I realized that the eyes looked very similar to the main character's, Kaori. Then Pandy decided to sell me her stained 06 head to practice faceups on... and it seemed to be fate! I'm in the process of de-staining the head currently, and while I'm waiting for that to be finished, I snapped a quick pic of the head with the eyes in it on my phone and put it in photoshop to design a concept for her faceup! What do y'all think?

 

 

 

 

 

I am a digital artist, and I haven't yet been able to work on DD heads.. so we will see how my abilities transfer into real life >_<;; But I think its a good first project!

 

I'll try my best to post updates along the way, but it will probably be very slow going at first since I have a pretty busy schedule. Also... as i've never done this before it's going to be a lot of looking at tutorials, and trial and error. So if anyone wants to give me any tips or tricks that would be super awesome ^_^ Thank you!

Oh wow! Very cute . I'm really liking your mock up. It's stays true to the anime's unique style. Keep us posted on her progress. I'm excited to see how she turns out. I couldn't finish Your Lie in April. My heart couldn't take it I've tried to watch it twice already!
