Milkbiscuit Posted December 4, 2013 I'm currently in the middle of Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies new dlc, which is about pirates, always a theme to love. When I'm done with that I'm going to finish off Pokemon Y, and try a hand at Dragon Crown (love Vanillaware for their Odin Sphere), the new Zelda game and Bravely Default. And hmm maybe I'll try out Final Fantasy tactics on the OS. Yeah I really love Jrpgs really excited to go on a gaming spree since I'm done with exams. I love horror games too but mostly as a spectator so I can run away when things get too scary. I love horror games too but mostly as a spectator so I can run away when things get too scary. >U< excellent choices! //killed/ I was a little disappointed that Dual Destinies weren't written by Shu Takumi but the game is overall great from what I've heard -I'm still pining for an extra little bit of funds so I can actually go ahead and purchase that- Dragon Crown was among the first game choices I've made for Vita for the very same reason. Odin Sphere was amazing enough to make me want to try that. As for Bravely Default I can't wait to get my hands on it. The fact it was written by the same genius behind Steins Gate, coupled with Square AND an interesting battle system is more than enough reason for me to go for it. And it's impossible to go wrong with Pokemon and Zelda, so~ xD Last but not least, if you like horror games that have great stories, don't heavily lean on graphic violence and gore and are actually emotionally involving I have a rather long list of free indie games I could suggest (I'm a huge fan of horror games but the likes of Silent Hill, Slender and the likes won't cut it for me), I believe the overall atmosphere of the game and the ability to connect to the characters to experience the story and terrifying ordeals firsthand is more important than actual visual horrors and the fear you're being chased down by monstrosities. ; then again I'm just weird! Milkbiscuit Posted December 5, 2013 Soenatte thank you! I really liked the new Ace Attorney, it's a little sappy at parts, but the craziness and suspenseful court room drama is still there! I love Prosecutor Blackquill And please list down your horror games! Give me moar game recommendationsss I just got a PS Vita so must devour more gamess. Ah, fyi otome games are also a guilty pleasure of mine too. Gotta try that dramatical murder one day. Still playing Starry Sky. Soenatte Posted December 5, 2013 Ehehe~ yes, I've heard good reviews! So I'm hoping for the best~ Ahaha! I've got a big list of Vita games I want to get when I do get my hands on it finally... but until then, let me make a list. The bellow games are all 100% free too, which is always a good thing in my book! Yume Nikki (although I suspect everyone has played it at this point) - it's more surreal horror than anything, and a guide might be needed at some points unless one is very lucky. There's also a fanmade sequel called Yume 2kki if I recall correctly but I've never played it. Ib - in my opinion it's one of the most touching stories ever, and a multitude of amazing endings to boot; it was recently updated with even more endings I have yet to play through, though. The Longing Ribbon - classic RPG/ horror, it's very good but I've found the difficulty frustrating at some points which is why I'm still fighting through it. Desert Nightmare - excellent game with excellent pacing overall; it's a simple adventure game and yet it somehow manages to be incredibly involving. Schuld - written by the same guy who wrote Dessert Nightmare -which was the main reason I even picked it up- it takes place in a surreal post-apocayptic world. The downside is... to me, it felt kind of short. Mad Father - as the title may suggest the game is crazy (awesome), it also includes a few different endings and has characters that managed to grip me for as long as its about two hours lasted. I offered to stream this game for friends that wanted to watch a few times and despite the multiple playthroughs it still has the same effect on me. Misao - the first game the writer of Mad Father made, not quite as dark, gripping or well-executed; it's reminiscent of a horror B-movie. Despite that it has many unexpected (often frustrating) surprises in stock and the overall story turned out to be pretty good at the end. There is a bad, good, and true end that even expands on the story and the events behind it. The Mirror Lied - it's a very short, surreal game developed by Kan Gao (who also made "to the moon" which is a commercial non-horror game that sells for under $10 if I recall correctly and I'd recommend to anyone, but you will need at least as much money for tissues while playing it, just a fair warning). It will take about twenty minutes to half an hour to finish, has a surprisingly haunting soundtrack and a very ...interesting to say the least story that's open to much speculation. My hint for this game is: save often and catch all the phonecalls if you want to have any hope of understanding what exactly happened. Witch's House - a game that managed to make me scared at at least a couple of portions -which is an achievement if so I must say-. I'm not trying to brag but I grew up with a mother who loved the horror genre and have been exposed to so much horror literature from the time I could read more complex books that most "scary" stuff don't scare me.. OTL It has a pretty surprising story too, though, and is very nicely made in my opinion! And last, it's no horror game but do give "the Plan" a playthrough; it's ridiculously short -ten minutes tops? I believe- welcomingly surprising and has amazing music too! Just a post-thought, but since you mentioned otome xD Have you tried Hatoful Boyfriend? I bought it on a whim because the whole concept sounded so absurd... and ended up so involved in the story/world I could hardly believe it myself by the end of if. CuteOne Posted December 8, 2013 I use to mostly play console rpg games. Games like Legend of Dragoon, the older Final Fantasies and Golden Sun. When I started dating my boyfriend I got into online games, shooters for starters. S4League was my very first online game and my first mmo was an obscure pvp game known as Requiem: Bloodymare back in the day. Currently I'm playing Tera Online with him and my guildmates. You know you can turn off signatures if they make you uncomfortable. 📸Instagram📸

Soenatte Posted December 29, 2013 I finally got a PSVita! And along with it I nabbed Invizimals, Dragon's Crown and also downloaded the first Persona game from the e-shop. Sadly I have little time to play as I'm leaving next week and my brother will be keeping it for the month but it'll have to suffice for now I'll have it on the following six + months after that so it's definitely worth the small extra wait. In the meantime I shall go back to playing all my indie games, DS and the new MMO Aura Kingdom once it goes on to Open Beta (: DDH07: Naoshin | Yui: Eclaire | DDH10: Noah | DDH01: Mafuyu | P-chan: He Tian | Hime-Ane: Millefeuille Kaito: Sora | DDH01: Astraia | Tiamat: Ravus | DDH08: Alto | DDHo9: Leilani | DDH07: Fyodor

chibiponi Posted February 7, 2014 I was playing FFXIV but I've been too busy for it lately. Other than that I play all kinds of stuff on PC, from Minecraft to Skyrim to Splinter Cell: Blacklist - my Steam game list is a bit on the insane side, and there's so much I still haven't even launched yet...I blame Humble Bundle and Steam sales for that. XD I did play a lot of console games when I had my PS3, Wii, and 360, but the only consoles I still have are in my game collection. I'd love to have a PS3 again at least, since I'm really into Hyperdimension Neptunia, then there's Project DIVA F and all the other random stuff I like. I do have a 3DS, though, but I haven't messed with it much since I can be usually found playing things with friends on PC.
Serisu Posted February 12, 2014 I really like MMOs and RPG, but my fav game so far has been MGS3! Gamma Ray Posted February 13, 2014 I'm mostly a PC gamer these days. I like a lot of different types of games. Lately I've been playing Double Dragon Neon. I'm looking forward to Metal Slug 3 tomorrow. I have the Neo Geo MVS cartridge, but I'm hoping more SNK games come to Steam in the near future. I loved King of Fighters 13 on Steam. I don't have any of the current systems except for the Playstation Vita. I actually had to take a moment to remember I had it because I only got it for Ys: Memories of Celceta. I have all of the Ys games that have been released over the past few years, too. They're everything I want in an action RPG. I've been gaming ever since I was a little kid. My parents got the Atari 7800 at the very end of its lifespan, and I've been hooked ever since. I remember the end of the NES days, the 16-bit wars, the Dreamcast! I became less enthusiastic about gaming after the Dreamcast ended, but PC gaming has brought me back. I also love old consoles. I've gotten a bunch of old consoles I never owned as a kid over the past number of years. Atari Jaguar, PC Engine Duo-R, Atari 5200. There's a retro arcade in Red Bank, NJ called Yestercades. I've been there a few times. It's a lot of fun!
