DJStarstryker Posted May 23, 2012 Lately I haven't been doing as much gaming. Been busy with other stuff. But I have been playing Final Fantasy XIII-2 with my husband. For a lot of RPGs, we play together and take turns "driving" (controlling the game). RPGs are long but we both want to see the story, so it's easier to kind of share a game and play at the same time. FFXIII was just OK to me. But I like FFXIII-2 a LOT. I think it helps that it has a better story and it doesn't feel like you're railroaded as much. Also, I've always liked Serah, and Noel is an interesting new character. Are you ready to rock? ^_^
BKKnight Posted May 23, 2012 Playing Diablo 3, Aion, World of tanks(lol). I have both x360 and ps3, but console games seems to be less played these days. I do want to get a psvita once gravity rush comes out.
Averis Posted May 23, 2012 Hehe, I think a lot of people are playing D3 atm. I wasn't that interested, but I got it anyway and have been playing it a little bit. I'm mainly playing Tera right now . SW:TOR kinda died off for my friends and I. >.
blueboy57 Posted May 27, 2012 I've been playing Dragon's Dogma all week. The combat is pretty awesome. You can climb on big monsters and stab them in key areas. Plus since I'm a rogue type character, I get to use dual wielded reverse grip daggers...that's what sold me lol. As always I made an attractive tomboyish, badass chick. Something my parents always give me crap for But honestly I think Capcom could have done better. Claims it's an open world, but I think KOA: Reckoning was more open than DD. And here's a big one....YOU CAN'T SWIM. If you go in the "deep" water it turns all red and I'm assuming monsters eat you and magically teleport you to dry land. And you pretty much can't overcome the odds in the game. Like as in you can't beat monsters the game doesn't want you to yet. But when you've gotten high enough and you're battling a cyclops, shooting him in they eye with and arrow and then running up his back to stab him in the head (all in real time, no "push this button NOW" crap) it feels pretty epic. The pawns are pretty cool too. It's nice having other "people" running around with you. A lot of people have been comparing it to Dark Souls. I've never played it but apparently if you were a big Dark Souls fan you'll probably like Dragon's Dogma. Otherwise I'd wait and get it used. Oh and did I mention there's no fast travel...well save for these stupid one-time use stones DD Family: Kara (Power Girl) HDD-02 & DDDyIII

Mitsuki Adored Posted June 16, 2012 I love the entire Kingdom Hearts series. I also love playing each and every one of Miku Hatsune's project diva games! Very addicting to play! Have been playing Fate/Extra lately and loving it! Also trying to geting back into PS3 games but not too many are keeping me interested but thank goodness for the PSN network since I have been seeing them release a lot of the oldest classics ! That's all!
DJStarstryker Posted June 18, 2012 Been working through Fallout 3. I've had this game for a few years that I got as a birthday present from an online friend but I kept putting it down. I've learned that Bethesda's open world style RPGs aren't really my cup of tea. But it's been bothering me that I haven't beaten it. I've got 2 side quests, the final main game story quest, and Broken Steel, then I'm done. I play a very sneaky character that likes to stay hidden and then do sneak attack headshots. However, I now have Fawkes following me around and he is, um, not very subtle. So he's cramping my sneaking style a bit, but he amuses me enough that I keep him around anyways. Are you ready to rock? ^_^
OtakuDepot Posted June 19, 2012 For some reason I've lost interest in MMOs lately and went back first person shooters. I've been playing Battlefield 3 like a mad man for a few weeks now: http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf3/soldier/Snootch12/stats/171830225/ Otaku Depot's growing family. “Give a man a fire and he's warm for a day, but set fire to him and he's warm for the rest of his life.” ― Terry Pratchett, Jingo
Gunter Posted June 19, 2012 I admittedly have been, and unfortunately still am a Nintendo fan. As of lately I haven't been bothering with my PC games, nor PS3 or 360, and moved back to Nintendo consoles to replay a series of games from my childhood, Legend of Zelda. I finished Skyward Sword a while back and due to my sheer dislike of that game (I will keep myself from ranting about it) I feel a need to cleanse myself of it and play a good Zelda game, and so off I go to play all my favorites again. I feel kinda lame for replaying, but what can I say? I like giving myself something to do in my free time, and at least I'm enjoying myself. I'll go tackle something on the PS3 sooner or later after this.
manueli Posted June 20, 2012 I'm currently playing pretty much World of Warcraft or Diablo 3... But when I feel like it I play on the ps3, mainly rock band but I recently started Yakuza 4 too. I like a wide range of games, and I tend to play all sorts of things from visual novels and snes games to roguelikes. It just all depends on the current interest and how much time I have... ^^;
Anna-neko Posted June 20, 2012 The last game I played was Fallout:New Vegas ... count that as last 4 games, because thats how long that one took me. Trying for all paths and different quests on each replay (glitches galore doesn't help). Plus the insanity known as "lets try a speed-run! On Hardcore mode!".. 'cept got distracted and it became a 10 hour game instead of 2hours. Nothing says dedication! like wiping out all radscorpions with a handgun while hidden up high on a rock .. because at lvl3 those suckers can wipe out the poor lil Courier in 2 hits But usually I'm all about J-RPGs and anything labeled with Level-5 logo
MaxArcher Posted June 20, 2012 I'm playing TERA now too. I'm on Dragonfall, as are a whole bunch of other people from the DD community, although I don't know how many of them are on this forum. DD Beatrice - DD Saber/EXTRA
DJStarstryker Posted June 20, 2012 Anyone here have a 3DS? Right now there seems to be such a limited number of games for it that I find interesting. For those who have one, what games do you like on it? Are you ready to rock? ^_^
Gunter Posted June 20, 2012 Anyone here have a 3DS? Right now there seems to be such a limited number of games for it that I find interesting. For those who have one, what games do you like on it? ....everything that's already come out before? ^^;; I wish I was joking when I said this, but my most played games are literally Tales of the Abyss and LoZ: Ocarina of Time. All my games are literally the stack that have been released before, they made pretty, and then re-released. I guess following up the two would be BlazBlue: Continuum Shift II, and Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked. Amusing, but I've technically played before. As you stated there is a limited about of games that are interesting.
AgentPanda Posted June 20, 2012 I'm mostly into RPG's...I'm a rather large fan of the Suikoden series. Over time I've also found myself drawn to Star Ocean, Valkyrie Profile, Legend of Mana, Some of the Final Fantasy games and Dragon Warrior. I'm also a rather large Pokemon nerd, I've been catching them all since the begining and my love for it still hasnt faded. I did pick up Pokemon Rumble Blast for the 3DS, its entertaining for me on the subway~ I enjoy some online MMORPG's specifically Maplestory and Ragnarok Online depending when I have the time... Outside of that I'm mostly a table top gamer ^_~ I love's me my DnD Instagram: littlemisswolf

There's Rhythm Thief, Final Fantasy Theatrhythm, Zero Escape (the sequel to the DS game 999), and some Japanese 3DS games that I want but can't play because Nintendo is a jerk and region locked the 3DS. I do have OoT because I have the special limited Zelda 3DS but that's the only game I have right now. Are you ready to rock? ^_^

One of the games I'm looking forward to is Professor Layton and the Mask of Miracle. Don't know if that'll actually come out in 2012 though. I really dislike region locks. I simply can't modify every console that comes with it so I can play whatever games I want. oTL; Oh! You got that 3DS. I actually nabbed mine when it first came out...unfortunately. Another game I may pick up is "Code of Princess," cause I figure "why not?"
JoltFiend Posted June 21, 2012 I'm looking forward to TheatRythm. That game looks really fun. Looking forward to Code of Princess also. I loved me some Guardian Heroes back in the day, and this is pretty much it's spiritual successor. I pre-ordered Senran Kagura Burst, which means I'll have to pick up a J-3DS. Hopefully there will be more J-only releases that make the console purchase worth it
denaliwind Posted June 21, 2012 I'm an mmo nut. ^_^ My first was EQ2 for a couple of years, then Aion on and off for a couple of years... then Tera, but unfortunately burned out rather quickly in Korean and NA beta. And now I'm holding my breath in anticipation for GW2! I pre-ordered so I've been eagerly beta testing that game too. And this weekend, I'll try out TSW. I've played other mmos, but they're not even worth mentioning (*cough, cough Rift*). Other than mmos... I love Terraria and have played all the Diablos. I'm mostly into RPG's...I'm a rather large fan of the Suikoden series. Over time I've also found myself drawn to Star Ocean, Valkyrie Profile, Legend of Mana, Some of the Final Fantasy games and Dragon Warrior. You've pretty much listed my BF's favorite games... I actually rather enjoy watching him play RPGs, how lucky is he! Star Ocean, Valkyrie Profile, The Witcher and the Persona's have been my favorite to watch, lol. It's one of the Japan only releases I want. Also another 3DS rhythm game that'll probably always be Japan only is that Hatsune Miku Project Mirai game. It's like the PSP Project Diva games, except in this one, Miku and the rest look like Nendroids. Are you ready to rock? ^_^
