In recent months, I've played Persona 4 on PS2 (still need to finish it), Tomb Raider, Last of Us and WoW. Right now, I'm still playing WoW 'cause I've become very addicted to the pet battle aspect. Gotta catch them all!

I'm also looking forward to playing Saints Row 4 this month. I love the over-the-top wackiness it has.

I loved Tomb Raider and The Last of Us. I also think Saints Row 4 will be fun, I was playing Saints Row 3 earlier today.

It seems a lot of people here play Final Fantasy and role-playing games and I feel awkward because I'm always playing some sort of violent or horror video game... x__X

i actually like both, but i haven't played many games this year due to various reasons. my taste in games is pretty diverse but the amount of time i dedicate to actually gaming wildly fluctuates depending on what else i decide to prioritize!

I am just too used to buying a game and then being able to play it forever, and not having to pay monthly... But sometimes I think I might cave and try it out at least, because it looks a lot of fun.

most MMOs either offer trial versions of the game - usually starting 3~6 months after launch - or eventually go F2P with a cash shop model (see: TERA, AION, etc).

unless you never buy anything from the cash shop (which while most cash shop items can be aesthetic, they sometimes actually affect the quality of your gameplay or are essential to doing something efficiently), a subscription based game is almost always a cheaper investment than a free game with a cash shop.

it should be noted that subscription MMOs that cannot get enough players to support their business model often go "F2P" and add a cash shop. MMOs with successful subscription rates usually add in lesser and lighter cash shop options at some time, but these tend to be a lot cheaper and optional than F2P Cash Shop games.

also, a lot of MMOS at launch offer you a "legacy subscription" discount meaning that if you pre-order the game, your monthly sub will be reduced permanently.

F2P Cash Shop games and MMOs are almost always more profitable for the company unless they are "mega-brand" MMOs like World of Warcraft (and i think that game is even free up to a certain level now?). in the future, i expect that the majority of MMOs will cease to use subscription models or at least make paying for a subscription a "pay for small perks" option.

If anyone plays games on Steam on PC, you should send me a PM. I have a lot of different co-op games...

i'm always logged in to Steam but i have a huge backlog of games right now that are totally unplayed because as i said i devoted very little time to gaming this year... plus, although i prefer PC gaming, i do play PS3/WiiU/PSP/JP-3DS games right now as well. i'll send you a PM later if i remember-- what kind of co-op games are you into right now?

all the Persona games are in my backlog, ugh! i hear really great things about them yet i still haven't played any of them (shamefully).

i never purchased SR3 but i remember being seriously tempted to buy it because it looked like a bunch of crazy and 'wacky' fun as you put it! had no idea SR4 was coming out... kinda tempting. do you know if the game very moddable at all?

I play these co-op games on Steam: Dead Island, Dead Island Riptide, Left 4 Dead, Left 4 Dead 2, PAYDAY: The Heist, Resident Evil 5, Saints Row: The Third, and Trine 2. I also have other games that I do not play that often like Portal 2, and I do not like the PC version of Resident Evil 6, so I rarely play it if ever. I prefer the PS3 version.

I bought 4 PS3 games this week because I had a pretty good GameStop coupon. So lately I have been on my PS3 way more than my PC. I got L.A. Noire Complete Edition, FFXIII, Bayonetta, and Deadly Premonition Director's Cut. I have been playing L.A. Noire a lot... It is my new addiction. I also put down my preorder for BEYOND: Two Souls. Can't wait until October!

Bayonetta is one damn good game. It is one of my all time favourites. Deadly Premonition is a really good game too. But be warned, the graphics ain't pleasing for those of you who are used to fancy HD-graphics. And the voiceacting is... mediocre at best(except some of the VAs who does a damn good job).

OT: Right now I'm playing a genre I usually don't play; RPGs. I'm playing Baten Kaitos for the Game Cube.

Yeah, I watched gameplay of Deadly Premonition online. It has mediocre graphics and voice acting, and the animations are absolutely horrendous. LOL. But I loved the storyline that I saw (I watched about 30 minutes of gameplay) and despite everything I grew attached to York.

I have also read many people say that Deadly Premonition has one of the best storylines in a game ever... I will probably not agree with that, but I think it will be good. I'm a huge fan of Heavy Rain, and I think no game has surpassed the storyline of that game... But I'm excited to play it. I just got addicted to L.A. Noire. Haha. Cool to know that someone here has played it!

It makes me smile to see so many other people that also play RPGs like final fantasy I'm guessing that means I'm not the only one excited for FFXV >O> !!

Lately I've been playing a lot of Final Fantasy tactics advance and I've just started Tales of Xillia like a week and a half ago. Up to now I find it a little boring compared to tales of graces but the story looks a lot more interesting so I'm hoping that once I get a bit further into the game where things get a little harder, I'll enjoy it more. I'm a bit bummed about this sort of new trend in these big name video games where they always have this huge complicated and rather boring story u.u It makes it so much harder to get into the game during the first few hours and makes me wanna just give up ^__^"

After one pertuclar purchase turned a bit bad in the end, been comforting myself with Dirt 3 wich is much more entertaining than I imagined for a racing game.

And also Ducktales Remastered ... finally managed to mount vesuvius.. only took 20 odd years.

I've got a list of games I want to play right now, but I'm trying to save up for AWA.

1. Devil May Cry (remake)

2. Saint's Row IV ( I can't help it, I love this crazy series)

3. Beyond Two Souls (Not released yet but looks amazing)

4. Infamous: Second Son (Also not released but I'm dying to play)

5.GTA V (Just to check it out, I haven't played GTA since Vice City)

So honestly, the only games I'm actually playing are Silent Hill HD Collection (replay) and Saint's Row: The Third (also a replay).

DmC is very good! I highly recommend it. xD I enjoyed playing that game a lot!

Saints row IV originally wasn't on my list, but I have played the third one and I loved it. After some more research into IV, I decided that I wanna get it eventually...

BEYOND: Two Souls is on my preorder list! I think that could easily be game of the year, at least for me.

I have seen all of the gameplay of the Silent Hill games, but only personally played Downpour. I can hardly handle Downpour, it scares me a lot, so I don't think I'd be able to handle the older games at all. xD!

I played the Devil May Cry demo awhile back and it was so fun (love hack & slash). I've just been waiting for the game to go on sale. I finally found it for under $45 but I still wasn't able to get it (maybe next time). Saint's Row games are ridiculously insane, I've been playing since SR 2. The fourth game has to take the cake though, I mean aliens? Super powers? How are they gonna top that?

I really have high hopes for Beyond: Two Souls. However, I think it'll be mostly cutscenes and little game play. Sort of like The Last of Us. Some people have been comparing it to Heavy Rain but I've never played that game before. I want to though! You should definitely give all the Silent Hill games a go. I thought Downpour was OK but Silent Hill 3 and 4 will always be my favorites. The first one has difficult controls but it's by no means bad. They are scary games but very well done.

You can get DmC (and tons of games) on eBay for really good prices. Just make sure to check feedback very well, and also eBay has good buyer protection too. You can get new and used games there for great prices, as opposed to GameStop and other stores.

BEYOND is made by the people that made Heavy Rain, but the games are going to be very different. BEYOND is going to (apparently) have seamless switching between Jodie and Aiden based on whatever situation you're going to be in. Also, I have read they did some things to make the cutscenes more interactive. Heavy Rain is a one of a kind game, in my opinion. It's more of an interactive drama rather than just a video game. However, I think that BEYOND is going to be a bit more than that.

The next "horror" game I am looking forward to is The Evil Within. That game truly looks terrifying but I am just dying to play it! xD

Just currently jumping in to say I've been rocking mostly horror as of late and fighters:

Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs

Outlast

Skullgirls

Super Street Fighter IV

And the game I never stop playing:

The Binding of Isaac~<3

I got bored and reset my file after hitting golden god, screw managing platinum.

I'm inching my way through Amnesia and Outlast, do a couple of hours, then skip into something else to calm myself because something chased me somewhere and damn is it one hell of a test on my reflexes. XD

Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F .... despite not really even understanding the whole actual need for Vocaloids, and thaught the 45 euros for it was a bit too rich.

But, as a result of the button bashing now I have Megane, and Kamikyoku ringing in my head on alternating loop...

Getting games from Ebay has been iffy at best for me. I usually end up getting some game that's not described properly and I have to return it. Sometimes I can find good deals on Amazon though.

I didn't know Beyond: Two Souls was made by the same company, I haven't been following it that much (I'm like that with most games, haha). I've watched a few more videos since posting and the gameplay looks amazing.

Aw, that's unfortunate! I tend to buy from sellers who have sold thousands of things and have 99% or 100% feedback, so I haven't really had any moments where I didn't get what was described. >__< Amazon does have good deals as well, though!

Yes, BEYOND and Heavy Rain are made by the French company/developer called Quantic Dream.

I don't really play much these days any more. The only games that I have and play time to time are The Sims 2 and The Sims 3.

I used to be obsessed with Lineage II since 2004 or 2005. I love MMORPGs in general but they are such a time suckers that for my own best, I decided to ban myself from playing them. I gave up few months ago because Tera looked so tempting and I got so into it... but I somehow managed to stop it. Yay me.

As a kid I was more of a console gamer as we had no PC until around the time I got hooked up with Lineage. I loved fighting games, Tekken was my favourite, as well as some adventure ones, like Tomb Raider.

I wish I had more time for gaming but the reality is that while having two jobs and few other hobbies, its less likely to happen.
