Kotone Posted April 16, 2018 I'm playing Etrian Odyssey V right now! It's quite different from the past games in the series but no less fun.
Kazumi Posted April 24, 2018 OH LORD HAVE MERCY VIDEO GAME TOPIC. Currently addicted to FFXIV. I play it religiously as a healer and lemme tell you- sometimes the struggle is real. But it's worth it to derp around with my boyfriend while we're long-distance and have something to bond over. The amount of times I've spent gil on clothes and not on saving for a house speaks a lot about who I am as a person. (Catgirls, okay?) I also play Otome games: CollarxMalice is a recent favorite. But Code: Realize really got me realizing otome games could be GOOD. I'd recommend both because the protagonists aren't extremely dumb like in EVERY OTHER OTOME. I'll be moving onto Hakuouki, the Code: Realize fandisc, and Psychedelica soon (as soon as it's released ISTG). Then RPGs. Currently not playing any but favorites: FFX, FFXV, KH series, Persona series (3, 4, and 5-- 4 was the best hands down.) I also enjoyed Fable II & III. Uh... Hyperdimension Neptunia for the ridiculousness of it. Ar Tonelico. I have Atelier Totori but never really played it. uvu And I like Dead or Alive & Soul Calibur for fighting games. Don't like shooters, though. And horror games . . . love/hate. I love watching people play them but if I pick one up, someone will have had to make me, and that person is going to get a controller chucked at them while I fall for every jumpscare. I don't play many/any indies. And I'm not a fan of pixel graphics but hand me an oldschool mario from nintendo/super nintendo and I'll be entertained for hours. Galvatim Posted April 24, 2018 I'm playing Far Cry 5 on my Xbox One right now. First time playing a Far Cry game. It's pretty good. I've got MGSV for my PS4 to start too... I'm planning to actually finish it this go around.
PrinceMonochrome Posted April 28, 2018 I play a bunch of different games and it just depends on what kind of mood that I'm in. I love rhythm games like Project Diva and I'm pretty excited for the Persona Dancing Star Night and Dancing Moon Night. I enjoyed playing Persona 4 and 5 and I love playing Guilty Gear and BlazBlue. I still play some Pokemon and I'm recently playing Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild and Fire Emblem Warriors. I definitely play a lot of Fire Emblem. There's a lot more but these are what I'm currently obsessed with.

elianti Posted May 6, 2018 So, sorta recently I’ve been playing through the newest Style Savvy(or Style Boutique/Girl’s Mode, depending on the region). In addition to being a clothing boutique manager, you’re also an idol stylist this time and can sub your player character or almost any of your previous customers in the song MVs which is pretty fun to me. xD The songs in the game are actually pretty good too, and I lost it when I realized that (English version , which is actually really good imo) was produced by a composer who some of my favorite Idolm@ster songs. Style Savvy has been really helpful to me when planning outfits for OCs for a while since the customization options are pretty great but now I can see my idol OCs actually do idol-y things now too. This is a photoshoot of two of my girls I want to have complete in doll form. One of them will show up on the forums here soon.. And speaking of im@s, Million Live Theater Days has seriously been taking up most of my free time nowadays. Between the different of branches of Idolmaster, Million Live and SideM are the ones I follow the most so it was really easy for me to love Theater Days. I couldn’t really get into Cinderella Girls sadly, so I’m really happy that ML’s own rhythm game is so fun and that it’s SO much easier to get to know more about all of them now, plus making units out of your favs is fun. It’s probably a blessing that my absolute best girl in imas has zero chance at getting the official DD treatment lmao

Chessmate Posted May 13, 2018 Lately I've picked up Dynasty Warriors 8 and Samurai Warriors 4, both empire additions. They both have fun character creators and gameplay, though I wish it was possible to make a character with a similar physique to Hanbei in DW8 (short baby-faced guy problems, ahaha) but oh well. Other games I've been playing are mostly mobage, I've picked up Granblue Fantasy, planning on playing DigimonLinkz again + picking up ENG Fate/grand order (and maybe JPN ver too if I like it.) Also definitely going to be picking up Puyotet sometime soon, but I've probably missed the hype for that. I'm completely unspoiled on the story though so I'm pretty excited to see what its like! Tasuke Posted May 15, 2018 "EVERYBODY'S GOLF" (SONY PS4) i just took the plunge on a used copy of this game a couple/three weeks ago, after mulling over it since it's release about six/eight months or so back. now, i'm not into sports, by any means, but this is definitely one of the best game purchases i've made in recent memory. i mean, if you happen to enjoy making custom characters and futzing about with them, than this game is for you. it's Adorable as all get out. it's also a surprisingly brisk and enjoyable Golf game, even for someone that knows Golf from Adam... Gabriel Posted May 16, 2018 Playing Super Robot Wars X lately. I'm about halfway through my first playthrough. I don't think it's as good as SRW V. Part of that is franchise mix. Part of it is mission design. Another part of it is plot. X is just lesser in all categories to me. It's still an OK TRPG, but V was an impossibly high bar to follow. Galvatim Posted August 22, 2018 I did my first playthrough of Nier Automata recently, it's now one of my favorite games. I started Horizon: Zero Dawn, Gravity Rush 2, and now Gravity Rush. The Gravity Rush games are fun. Horizon, I just can't help but compare to Nier Automata and Skyrim, and it's good, but not as good as those two. But I do enjoy it. Silent Posted October 10, 2018 Mostly I play minecraft or World of Wrcraft. Depends what period I am in. Now I am in Minecraft period. (I an very hyped from 1.14 and 1.15 updates announcements) But From yesterday I am trying out World of Tanks. (Due to my artwork to school.) To find out at least little bit what is tank world about or what was it about. Once upon a time I play Hearthstone but just casual. In future I would like to have a nintendo switch and play nintendo and anime style games. I do not play board games. Not my cup of a tea. I used to play DnD but players were playing mechanics and combos not the role. Also I tried LARP twice. But the problem was allways was a detective genre. And I was allways the guilty one. So everyone aginst me... I just avoid any games where I must to interact with players face to face. I mean come on, life has so many social interaction... I dont need it in games. I do not play moba games. I tried but too much action for me, and not many other thinghs to do in game.

RainbowNanaki Posted November 25, 2018 I don't really poke my nose in OT too much but I may as well chat and see if I can make friends!! For starters, most of my life I have played single player games. I don't have any siblings, I didn't have many friends who played games and I also wasn't able to use for the internet for games until my teens. So, the bulk of what I play are thing like Final Fantasy, The Sims 3, Harvest Moon, Spyro, No More Heroes, Yakuza, and Silent Hill. However, I have been trying to break into multiplayer with...mixed success I have one friend that I occasionally play Stardew Valley with, but other than that it's still all solo stuff. If any of you happen to have GMod, there is an add-on called Jazztronauts that I am dying to play with someone. It's basically a goofy "loot 'em up" where you ride an inter-dimensional bus to random maps, steal as many objects as you can, and try to find randomly hidden crystal shards. I used to make maps for games as a hobby, so it's interesting to see how other people approached things in a more robust engine than I personally built with. That, and there's nothing quite like seeing a screaming skeleton stealing all of the trees in a forest, leaving nothing but a shimmering pink void in its wake He/Him --- I like making stuff --- Please don't make sexual/lewd comments about my dolls, thank you! Gabriel Posted November 25, 2018 I finally completed a second playthru of Super Robot Wars X last night. What a slog that was! It wasn't that it was difficult in the slightest. It just was that I didn't care about what was going on in the game. The storyline was bad on the first playthru and nearly unbearable on the second, and that was even skipping nearly all of the story. Even then I stalled out for a while on mission 40 and didn't get back to the game for a while. I really didn't enjoy the character mix. I really didn't like any of the characters or mecha from Mashin Hero Wataru, to such a degree that they made the game unenjoyable whenever I had to deal with them or watch their story bits, and since the game's story is built heavily around them, it was torture. Similarly, I despised all the Nadia: Secret of Blue Water stuff. I also have to say that what I've seen of the Code Geass, Gurren Lagann, and Gundam Reconguista in G has ensured I will not be checking out any of those series because of this game. On a milder note, I don't think there's any chance of me wanting to check out Buddy Complex either. I think the only new franchise I was introduced to through this game that left anything resembling a semi-positive impression was Aura Battler Dunbine. Even then it isn't something I'm in a hurry to check out. So pretty much I developed a fondness for those characters akin to how V gave me a fondness for Brave Express Mightgaine. It's not really something I'd care to watch, but I'll happily have their units in a Super Robot Wars game. It didn't feel like it was just the characters, either. The battles just weren't as interesting. I don't know what I could point to about the battles in V which made them more appealing, but there was definitely something more involving and satisfying about them than in X. Up until about Mission 45 out of 51, I felt the battles in X were just wasting my time. I was going for 50 SR on the second playthru. (Meeting special criteria for each battle, and after 50 points you get a bonus and trophy). It was actually a blessing in disguise when I messed up on a couple of missions and realized that it was now impossible for me to hit my 50 SR goal. At that point I just quit caring about special mission goals altogether, and just focused on taking my frustration out on the game by attacking as I pleased and beating the holy living snot out of the enemies in whatever way I wanted. Maybe that was the big difference, the SR requirements for the missions just weren't any fun. I don't know. Regardless, I did enjoy myself more after I stopped pursuing SR points in the game, whereas in V pursuing the SR points was fun. Of course, take this rant with the additional information that I played this game to completion twice. That automatically makes it better than a vast quantity of other games at least from my point of view. It's just that right now I'm incredibly sick of Super Robot Wars X and happy to be putting it to bed. I will not be playing it again for a long time. I recently purchased a PS4. I bought Super Robot Wars V and OG Saga: The Moon Dwellers. There's not much chance of me getting the PS4 version of X. I also have a ridiculous number of other games I've snagged. Space Hulk Tactics and Blood Bowl II are pretty high up on my list of current games to start playing. I'm also thinking of picking up Shining Resonance Refrain. Oh, and Super Robot Wars T was just announced. It's going to have Captain Harlock and the Arcadia! HELL YEAH!
sinclair Posted November 25, 2018 I'm kind of in between games right now. I finished Child of Light this last week. It wasn't as long as I thought it'd be. I really enjoyed it and am kinda sad I'm done. Main issue is no funds to get more games, or else I would have downloaded Moss and Soul Caliber by now and be playing those. I love Miku and have the base Diva games on my PS4 as well, but I'm soooooooooo bad at rhythm games I can't play them on anything harder then the easiest setting, so they get old fast as to really unlock everything you need to play above Normal levels (Or buy the unlocks, but same issue as stated above.). I've played a couple demos for JRPG games, but haven't found something that I feel like would draw me in like Child of Light and Tales of Zestiria did. So if anyone has any recommendations I'll listen. I love JRPGs, but I hate combat systems that require timing, and having to craft and evolve things, or games with micromanaging inventory to play. finnleo Posted November 26, 2018 I also have to say that what I've seen of the Code Geass, Gurren Lagann, and Gundam Reconguista in G has ensured I will not be checking out any of those series because of this game. A bit off-topic in the off-topic, but Code Geass series 1 is actually pretty good in my opinnion, it was one of those better Sunrise off-gundam series they produced, its not until Season 2 where they start throwing mechs at plot knots that ruin it. Reconguista in G, however is the one I refer to as the Porta-potty Gundam ... for all too obvious reasons. I wanted to like it due to the same character designer as Eureka-7 but... the faux 70/80's animation effects and the other weirdness make this one to really avoid. Cant say about Guren Lagann though, Gainax series so one might like it, or one might not like it.

On a milder note, I don't think there's any chance of me wanting to check out Buddy Complex either. I've never played a SRW game. I've also only watched the very first three (I think) episodes of Gurren Lagann. That was on my PC a few years ago when I had crappier internet than now and I liked it enough I stopped watching because I wanted to see it in better quality so I bought the blu-rays, which I've yet to watch, as usual. At the time, I was having trouble finding anything new (hey, "new" to me in anime means it isn't from the 1980s) that I liked, and when I started this I got a feeling like I used to get watching old stuff. What I'm trying to say is don't discount it just yet, because I know you like older stuff like I do. It's also possible I won't like it when I finally watch all of it of course. cfx Posted November 27, 2018 I love Miku and have the base Diva games on my PS4 as well, but I'm soooooooooo bad at rhythm games I can't play them on anything harder then the easiest setting, so they get old fast as to really unlock everything you need to play above Normal levels (Or buy the unlocks, but same issue as stated above.). If you're referring to Project Diva X, the problem isn't your skill level, it's the poor design decisions Sega made for this game. As a follow-up to Project Diva F and Project Diva F2 on PS3, PDX was a step backwards in practically every way. All the PVs became more concert style with the characters dancing in front of what might as well be wallpaper compared to the much more story-like PVs for many of the songs in the previous games, a much worse song list (debatable according to your taste of course), a much smaller song list (objective), and a far far worse unlock system. PDF and F2 awarded you "Diva points" for playing the game, which amounted to in-game currency you used to buy the outfits and items. Songs were unlocked by completing other songs, on any difficulty. And all songs were complete, no medleys. PDX replaced that unlock system with the random-number-generator style unlock with different outfits having different rarities (chances to unlock). Even the best players hate this because you have to play songs over and over and over and over and over and over and over to unlock everything, to a point everyone comes to hate the game before they finish unlocking everything. I own it but have only played it a little bit, mostly due to those things and that I don't like a lot of the songs. I bought it because it does have a few songs I really love though, like Mitchie M's Ai Dee. I expect I'll end up buying the unlock codes for it because the in-game unlock system is just crap. Some of the rhythm gameplay changes are for the worse too. The "Rush" notes (i.e. destroy your controller by jamming on a button as fast as possible) were new to this version and are bad, though at least the linked star notes from F2 are gone; those violated the rules that the games always went by i.e. physical distance and location of notes telling you something about them and required pure rote memorization. Project Diva X probably killed the franchise. It sold pretty poorly in Japan from what I can determine, and it's been out longer now I believe than the time gap between any of the other games. The fact Sega didn't release DLC songs for it as they did for F2 also suggests it didn't meet whatever expectations they had for it. The Japanese DLC release schedule for songs and outfits had that game supported almost up to the release of PDX. I'm bad at them too, and completely worthless with the normal controller, which is the other annoyance for me. Hori made a small controller for PS4, but not the large one like they had for PS3 and it's not compatible of course (not my website and Hori's page is now gone): https://www.starcreator.com/features/pjdfcon/ Project Diva Future Tone DX, the PS4 version of the arcade game, is much more difficult than any of the other games. I've only played the demo that gives you two songs on that one, but I have the physical Japan release that came out later and also has several blu-ray discs containing all the PVs and openings from all the games (I think) and whatever else came with it. I'm a JRPG fan too, but I like engaging gameplay mechanics so we're probably looking for different things there. As it's relevant on this forum, I'll suggest Nier Automata (which I've yet to play myself, sigh). Gameplay-wise it's probably not what you are looking for given Platinum's gameplay mechanics and bullet-hell-like boss encounters, but I suspect the storyline would draw you in. There's rumor due to ESRB rating of a "Game of the YoRHa Edition" of it coming, which presumably would be a budget price and include the DLC as such usually do. Gabriel Posted November 27, 2018 I was a fan of the Project Diva games. I've never been good at them in the slightest. On F2, I can manage some of the songs on Normal. There are a rare few I can deal with on Hard, but I typically need assist items to handle that difficulty. Even then, my number of cleared songs on Hard and higher difficulty is miniscule. Mostly, I just play on Easy and tap buttons to the songs I like: Dye, This is the Happiness and Peace of Mind Committee, Spica, etc. Didn't buy X and won't be buying it. Cfx hit the points illustrating why it's not appealing to me. I've followed the series since the first PSP game, but me and Sega parted ways with X.
sinclair Posted November 28, 2018 I'll be honest, without turning my PS4 on I don't know the titles of the games. I have the 1st two PD games on my PSP (The reason I bought one, after they had been discontinued. Probably bought the last new one my Game Stop had.), and was no good at them either. I did buy the VR one and really enjoyed it, it was easy to play and unlock everything. I'm sure that Project Diva Future Tone DX is one of them as it only have two songs. I'd play that one more if I had the rest, and sometime I will get the rest, but money. PDX is most likely the other one, and I did get the whole game, and will sometime buy the unlocks. I didn't mind how it was laid out (But then I don't know better.) until I had cleared all the stages on easy and got all the crystals glowing, then it was "Now keep playing it over and over again to keep powering up the crystals without being told why or what will happen if you do." which was a real buzzkill. As for other games, I played the demo for Nier, and I know I'd enjoy the story, but yes the gameplay isn't my style. I hate bullet-hell and not really a platformer fan.
