miffimifster Posted March 27, 2016 Hi all! I'm joining, as I'm hoping very much to bring a Volks Dollfie Dream - Akihabara Girls DDS Mariko - Summer Festival version DD home. I hope to learn a great deal about DD dollies here, and welcome your help. So far, I have been an Asian Ball Jointed Doll collector of resin, for the past 10 years. I am on Den of Angels under the same username. I own a number of resin ABJD's, ranging in sizes from tiny (Pipos/Pukifee) to large SD (65cm boys from Fairyland, and Infiniti Doll). A local ABJD collector also owns two DD's, and was kind enough to show them to me in person. I thought they were gorgeous, and that the vinyl they are made of was of rather good quality, and felt soft and friendly to handle. I've been a big fan of the Volks DDS Mariko sculpt, since the first Mariko Sensei came out. I adore her sad/shy/worried little face. I still love my resin dolls, but Mariko is a neat new type of dollie to enjoy. I'd really like to get more hands for her, as well as some other extras, like reinforcement rings for her joints, and new eyes. She was my second DD after a custom DD, though Mariko single-handedly pulled me into this hobby from the moment I first saw her. Even today, she's still the cutest, most adorable little angel I have, and seeing her make people so happy at meet-ups is a treat! Take good care of Mariko, and I await seeing more pictures of her cuteness. Again, welcome!
